Chapter 50

Alariekaโ€™s face went blank for a second.

This was the first time someone told her she could be angry and that she could care.

She didnโ€™t dare get mad or care before, because no one paid attention to what she thought.

But now, she really didnโ€™t care.

She pulled at the corner of her mouth and looked at Reyna calmly, โ€œMs. Wright, Iโ€™m really fine.โ€

She didnโ€™t want Reyna to get involved in this stuff; the Argent family was powerful and basically ruled the whole city.

The power of the Argent family wasnโ€™t something a high school teacher could handle.

Reyna sighed softly.

She had also heard a bit about Alarieka and the Argent family.

She didnโ€™t believe the rumors; she only trusted this student she had taught for just a few classes.

Alarieka had a really clean vibe, and her eyes looked pure.

She didnโ€™t judge people by looks, but she did believe in the cleanness in Alariekaโ€™s eyes.

She knew it was the Argent family who broke Alariekaโ€™s heart and pushed her to this point, but all she could do was say โ€œI donโ€™t mindโ€ with grievance.

The school anniversary came in no time. Alarieka put on the dress Reyna ordered for her the day after tomorrow, tied up her long hair, and showed her slender, fair neck and collarbones.

She had delicate makeup on her face. Since it was stage makeup, it looked a bit heavy. The lipstick on her lips was dark. But even with all that, the makeup on her face didnโ€™t feel too much.

Instead, it got rid of her usual shynessโ€“charming eyes, fiery red lips, and a graceful figure, she was totally the image of a stunning beauty.

Alarieka held the cue cards in her hand and listened to the noise outside.

Her heart was unusually calm.

โ€œAlarieka, you looked so beautiful.โ€

โ€œRose, so pretty!โ€

Two voices sounded at the same time, one was another female host, and the other was Clarissaโ€™s voice.

Alarieka smiled faintly and didnโ€™t look back at them, โ€œThanks.โ€

She lowered her head, picked up the pearl earrings on the table, and slowly put them on her earlobes in front of the mirror.

Slowly, she saw a patch of black appear in the mirror.

Black was slowly getting closer, and finally stopped behind her.

She looked up along the black in the mirror.

It was Kieran.

There was also Roschelle.

Roschelle dressed up really fancy tonight. Alarieka remembered this brand. It was a rare luxury couture gown, the pride of the luxury brand.

Only Kieran could get this dress to be worn.

Roschelleโ€™s dress was really high quality and had a great fit. Compared to the dress Alarieka rented from some roadside dress shop, it was like night and day.

Clarissa never missed a chance to mock Alarieka: โ€œAlarieka, after you left the Argent family, you ended up like this? You donโ€™t even have a single haute couture now?โ€

Alarieka slowly stood up, stepped in her high heels, and slowly turned around.

Alarieka stood up straight, hands clasped in front of her lower belly, with a slight smile and almost no warmth in her eyes.

Only when she stood up did everyone see her dress more clearly.

It really couldnโ€™t compare to the dress Roschelle wore, but when Alarieka wore it, it was still eye-catching enough, enough to match.

Someone explained clothes make the man.

On Alarieka, it really was clothes look good because of the person.

Clarissa, who always wanted to step on Alarieka, also choked up for once and couldnโ€™t say anything when she saw Alariekaโ€™s whole body.

This was kind of the dressing room for the school anniversary. Almost everyone who was going to perform did their makeup here.

Itโ€™s just that Roschelle already had her makeup on, so she obviously wasnโ€™t here to do her makeup, and Clarissa didnโ€™t have a show tonight, so she didnโ€™t need any makeup either.

Then their purpose was pretty obvious.

I came to block her.

She looked at Clarissa, half-smiling, half-not: โ€œClarissa, you were meant to live at 133 Oak Avenue.โ€

Clarissa thought these numbers looked familiar and frowned a little: โ€œWhat place was that?โ€

Alarieka was already taller than Clarissa, and now she was wearing eight-centimeter heels, so she was almost a head taller than Clarissa.

She didnโ€™t lower her head or lean over, just looked at her with a cold expression.

โ€œSince you asked so sincerely, I honestly told you, that was the cityโ€™s mental hospital, and there were a lot of your kind there.โ€

Alarieka looked at Kieran.

Before she had said anything, Roschelle walked over gracefully, holding up her skirt, her fair wrist linked with Kieranโ€™s arm, and said with a light laugh:
