Debra felt the machine start working on her face. After a while, she asked, “This machine is pretty good. I haven’t seen anything like it elsewhere.”

“It’s developed by our company and air-freighted here,” the manager replied.

“Which company is that? I might know them.”

“We’re a subsidiary of the Lowe Group. It’s all legit, safe, and medically certified.”

“I have a friend in this business who wants to buy some of these machines. Is that possible?”

“Well, our machines are provided by the company and aren’t for external sale.”

“That’s a shame. My friend is willing to pay a high price for the right machine. I thought this one was good, but oh well…”

“How many machines does your friend want to buy?”

“We’re opening a chain store, so that will be at least 50 machines per store and around 500 in total. We also want some other instruments, so it will be around a thousand machines.”

Debra had calculated the cost—over ten million. Such a large order was rare in this industry.

The manager’s eyes lit up. “Well, the company doesn’t usually allow it, but I have a channel. If you’re interested, I can introduce you.”

Debra was skeptical. “They’re from the same manufacturer, right? I won’t buy them if they’re not.”

“Don’t worry, they’re the same. Same machine and air-freighted, just cutting out the approval process.”

Debra nodded. “Okay, give me the contact info. If it works out, I’ll give you a referral fee.”

The manager was thrilled. She was used to dealing with wealthy but stingy customers. Debra’s generosity was a pleasant surprise.

Before leaving, Debra added the manager on WhatsApp.

Across town, in a hotel suite, Kale reported, “Boss, Debra went to Victoria’s Beauty.”

Drake, sitting at his desk, asked casually, “And?”

“It’s said she went to some beauty programs quite openly.”

“Women love beauty stuff. It doesn’t concern me.”

Drake took a bite of his apple and looked at the reports on his desk.

“Victoria’s has been making more money lately.”

“They hooked Melody Nichols. She’s spent a fortune there in just a few days.”

“If they want to burn money, let our people milk them for more.”

“Understood.”

Kale observed Drake’s expression and placed an invoice in front of him. “By the way, Debra sent this invoice. She wants you to pay up.”
