Chapter 1080
Marion was equally astonished. Debra asked him, โSo, youโve been setting up the venue abroad?โ
โI donโt know,โ Marion frowned in doubt. This wasnโt his plan. He had chosen a domestic hotel as the wedding venue.
โCaleb pulled a fast one, as usual,โ Erica chimed, coming downstairs in her bridesmaidโs gown. โHe probably wants to give you an unforgettable wedding.โ
Walking beside her, Randy reminded them, โThere are three hours left for you to try on wedding gowns. You need to finish within the time limit, or Caleb might make you stand at attention as punishment.โ
Debra felt like the Houston family had raised the alert level to DEFCON 1. This didnโt feel like a wedding at all; it was more like a mission to complete.
โMadam, we have twelve models with similar body types to yours. Theyโll be at your service,โ said the attendant.
Debra understood the implication. She had three hours to select twelve satisfying gowns from the thousand available. With a helpless smile, she sprang to action.
Erica shook her head. โCaleb really pampers you, but this time limit thing? Itโs his old habit for decades.โ
When she was little, Caleb also doted on her. For one birthday party, he had prepared an entire room full of beautiful dresses for her to choose from. The problem was that she only needed one dress for the birthday, but she got so caught up in choosing that she ended up with decision paralysis.
Now Debra was facing a similar situation.
Three hours later, Debra finally selected twelve wedding dresses. The car arrived, ready to take them to the airport.
Marion glanced at Debra, who was leaning on his shoulder. โTired?โ
โExhausted,โ Debra replied, โCaleb really knows how to wear people out. At his age, heโs still experimenting with romance.โ
โIf you donโt like this wedding, we can skip it,โ Marion muttered.
โNo, I like it,โ Debra straightened up and said. โBesides, Iโve selected the dresses. We canโt just go back.โ
She saw his helpless smile and added, โActually, I liked all the dresses in that room. Itโs a shame I wonโt have the chance to wear them after the wedding.โ
Marion tapped her forehead. โYou can wear them, but you can only marry me.โ
The car stopped at the airport. After getting out, Erica moved quickly to grab Debra. Randy did the same with Marion.
Erica explained, โCaleb has given his orders. Itโs custom that you guys canโt meet on the night before the wedding.โ
Marion objected, โI donโt agree.โ
โToo bad. Caleb has more authority, and his temperโs worse,โ Randy said, dragging him toward another plane.
Debra tried to persuade Erica. โErica.โ
โDonโt look at me. Iโm just following Calebโs orders. Weโre taking this plane,โ she said, pulling Debra toward the aircraft.
