Chapter 1088

โ€œSure. Whatโ€™s the test?โ€ Marion replied.

โ€œQuick Q&A,โ€ Erica fired away. โ€œWhat was your first impression of the bride?โ€

โ€œShe was so cute,โ€ Marion replied.

โ€œWhat?โ€ Randy was taken aback. โ€œYou thought she was cute the first time you saw her?โ€

That didnโ€™t sound right. Randy remembered the first time Marion saw Debra. It was outside an auction, and Debra had an aura about her, a presence that made her seem like a queen ready to take down a rival. Cute? Not quite.

Garland was equally puzzled. Debra was good-looking. But cute? That was a stretch.

Erica scratched her chin, not entirely satisfied with the answer, but she figured love was blind. So, she moved on to the next question. โ€œIf your first love and your wife both fell into the water, who would you save?โ€

โ€œDebra is my first love,โ€ Marion answered.

โ€œThatโ€™s too easy,โ€ Randy chimed in, frustrated. โ€œUp the ante.โ€

Erica struggled. โ€œI donโ€™t know what to ask. Should we move on to the next round?โ€

She pulled out a set of bizarre foods and placed them on the table. โ€œYou have one minute to finish a ghost pepper, a bitter melon, a glass of vinegar, and a handful of sugar.โ€

โ€œWhy?โ€ Randy asked.

โ€œHe has to taste sour, sweet, bitter, and spicy to marry the bride,โ€ Erica explained.

โ€œThe wedding ceremony is coming up. Do you want him to show up with sausage lips?โ€ Randy pointed out.

While Randy and Erica were arguing, Marion calmly popped the ghost pepper, the bitter melon, vinegar, and sugar into his mouth. The whole process took him less than half a minute.

โ€œWow!โ€ Garland was amazed.

โ€œWay to go,โ€ Erica cheered. โ€œFolks, meet my brother.โ€

Randy reminded her, โ€œYour cousin.โ€

โ€œSame difference,โ€ Erica brushed it off.

Randy checked his watch. โ€œFive minutes left. Any more tests? If not, weโ€™re taking her away.โ€

โ€œThereโ€™s one last challenge,โ€ Erica said, glancing at Lizaโ€™s burly bodyguards. โ€œDefeat them in five minutes, and you can take the bride.โ€

โ€œWhat? These two giants?โ€ Randy protested, but Marion rolled up his sleeves and headed out.

Moments later, the screams of the two bodyguards echoed from outside.

Marion returned and asked, โ€œIs that good enough?โ€

Erica couldnโ€™t argue with that, but Liza complained, โ€œItโ€™s fine you guys made a bet. Why did you beat up my people?โ€

โ€œYeah, whoโ€™s paying their salaries?โ€ Garland echoed. Medical bills werenโ€™t cheap, either.

Randy reassured them, โ€œDonโ€™t worry. They just fell and didnโ€™t hurt at all.โ€

Liza was unimpressed. โ€œIsnโ€™t he called the demon incarnate? I figuredโ€ฆโ€

โ€œWhat?โ€ Randy interrupted. โ€œToday is Marionโ€™s wedding day. No need for bloodshed.โ€

He then ushered everyone outside. Marion walked up to Debra, got down on one knee, and looked at her with unhidden affection. โ€œAre you ready, my bride?โ€
