Chapter 21
Shelia was shocked. What is Debra doing here?
Soon, the commotion at the door alarmed the exam invigilator. He scolded, โWhich department are you from? Donโt you know this is an exam room? Stay away from here!โ The surrounding students scattered, except for Carrie and Shelia. Carrie said, โSir, we are junior students preparing for the postgraduate entrance exam. We want a copy of this yearโs paper to study.โ
The invigilatorโs expression softened when he saw Shelia. After all, Shelia was sponsored by Juan. So, the invigilator handed the exam paper to her.
When Shelia saw the questions, she looked troubled. โItโs a shame I didnโt see Jordan,โ Carrie said, lowering her head in disappointment. She glanced at Shelia, who was frowning, and asked, โWhatโs wrong?โ
Shelia shook her head. โThe questions this year are difficult. Even if I attempt them, I canโt guarantee good grades.โ But that also meant Debra wouldnโt pass this year. Shelia felt somewhat relieved. Thankfully, Juan had advised her not to take the exam; it turned out he knew the questions were difficult. Shelia was pleased, thinking of Juanโs favoritism towards her.
In the exam room, Debra was writing quickly. After a while, there was a commotion outside. The exam roomโs door was forcefully pushed open, and two bodyguards brought in a man with dyed hair. The man was firmly pressed into a seat and couldnโt move a muscle. This man looked familiar to Debra. If she remembered correctly, he should be the second son of the Potter family, Jordan.
In her last life, Jordan was arrogant and hot-tempered, but he had a knack for business. In the end, he took over the Potter familyโs business from his frail elder brother, Andrew Potter. He was no ordinary person.
โTimโs not doing it,โ Jordanโs voice broke the silence in the exam room. Debra felt the person before her was different from the ruthless Jordan in her memory. But she quickly remembered that the current Jordan was still seen as a playboy by everyone.
Who would have thought that such a person would transform into a top-tier businessman who could rival Juan in a few years, amidst the upheaval of the Potter family?
Debra couldnโt help but glance at Jordan, and Jordan glanced back. Debra immediately lowered her head. Jordanโs exam seat today was right next to hers.
Until the exam ended, Jordan didnโt pick up his pen. Debra breathed a sigh of relief. She didnโt care about Jordan, but she felt secure.
Just as she was about to step out of the exam room, someone grabbed the back of her neck.
โHey!โ Jordan pressed Debra against the wall. His eagle eyes held a hint of laziness. Perhaps due to exercise, his body appeared unusually sturdy.
โI donโt know you,โ Debra said with feigned composure. She was sure Jordan could knock her out with just one punch.
โWhy did you intentionally answer the last question wrong?โ Jordan asked.
