“Hey, Sabrina. Don’t say that!” someone said.
“I’m just telling the truth,” Sabrina Briggs snorted.
“It’s a fact she just got out of a BMW,” another person said.
“Perhaps some big boss sent her. Some people lack skills but know how to get close to the powerful,” Sabrina Briggs said sourly.
During the previous filming, she’d thought Grace was unlucky, bullied by the second female lead. Who knew the crown prince himself would escort Grace to the lounge moments later? This made Sabrina envious. She’d dreamed of such opportunities and regretted her actions several times afterward. If she’d known better, she would have groveled to Brian when Evelyn instructed Grace to do so. Although Grace looked terrible, it had seemingly gained Brian’s attention.
Sabrina even believed the luxury car belonged to Brian, and that he’d sent Grace. As she spoke, many extras looked at Grace strangely.
Grace remained silent; it would only worsen the situation. Besides, she didn't know these people. Their opinions were their own; she didn't need to prove her innocence.
Soon, the organizer, Sidney, ushered them to the set. Grace followed her usual routine: changing into her costume, applying makeup, and waiting to film. However, this time, she saw Lily. Unlike last time, when a stand-in was used, Lily stood beside the male lead. Their eyes met. Instead of her usual condescending gaze, Lily’s expression was inquisitive, as if pondering something. This unsettled Grace.
She remembered Lily’s intense hatred—a desire to tear her apart. Grace expected an attack after Lily’s release from prison, but beyond the garbage ring incident, there had been little confrontation. Was Lily simply unbothered, given Grace’s miserable state? Or was it because of Jason? If the Stevens family knew about her relationship with Jason, wouldn't Lily know as well?
While Grace pondered this, Evelyn, standing beside the male lead, glared at Grace. Evelyn had persuaded the director to bring back the original extras to get Grace back on set. The scene should have been filmed last week, but Grace’s absence for three days following the incident caused delays. Since she was Brian’s girlfriend, no one dared to object. Today, however, Evelyn wouldn't let Grace escape unscathed. She wanted Grace to know she was Brian’s girlfriend.
