Evelyn, wearing a twenty-million-dollar necklace, looked very happy. She felt as valuable as the jewelry. She no longer considered herself ordinary. She was starring as the female lead in a new film. Although the crew and director were less skilled than her previous ones, it wasn't bad overall. She was still the lead, and Evelyn was satisfied with the resources Brian provided.

As long as she continued to ingratiate herself with Brian, she wouldn't lack for resources. Brian's interest in Grace's past was likely pure curiosity. It was hard for anyone to understand Jason's attraction to Grace, especially given Brian and Jason's close relationship. Evelyn had rationalized Brian's behavior.

Furthermore, she believed Jason wouldn't take Grace seriously. After all, Grace had killed his fiancée! Perhaps he was seeking revenge, intending to elevate her before a harsh fall. Evelyn eagerly anticipated Grace's reaction to being dumped by Jason.

Wearing her new jewelry and a designer dress, Evelyn entered a high-end club. In a private room, Brian was drinking with others, surrounded by women vying for his attention.

Evelyn approached, saying softly, "Sorry I'm late, Brian. I must have kept you waiting."

A man drinking with Brian smiled. "Hey, Master Hart's girlfriend is here. My work here is done. Master Hart had to drink with me because you weren't here."

Secretly pleased that Brian cared, Evelyn raised her chin, highlighting the necklace. "Is this necklace nice, Brian? Thank you," she said. This was also to demonstrate her status to the other women. This was no cheap, casually given necklace.
