The videos were no longer online, but Grace didn't want to hide this from Jason. After all, they were a couple.
"Today," she began, recounting the morning's argument and Brian's assistance.
However, Jason showed no shock or surprise. She couldn't help asking, "Did you already know about this?"
"Yes," he said. "I saw the video."
Now she was surprised. He'd seen the video she hadn't even seen!
"About that video," she said, "I have nothing to do with Brian." She feared misunderstanding and felt compelled to explain. Kyla's comments under the video had speculated about her relationship with Brian.
He sat on the bed's edge, his hands around her waist, chin tilted back as he looked at her. "You're not attracted to Brian, are you?"

"He is?" Grace was stunned. "He's Evelyn's boyfriend. Besides, even if he were interested in me, he wouldn't be the one I like."

"I don't like someone who keeps changing girlfriends," Grace explained. "I think he has no respect for feelings. Women are probably just a way to spice up his life—one day it's you, the next someone else." She considered him a playboy, emotionally uninvolved in his relationships.
His eyes glistened; he smiled. "From now on, you can only be attracted to me."
