Chapter 436

Even without considering his identity, his looks alone were enough to attract a line of women. However, her answer elicited a flash of disappointment in his eyes. "Don't you feel jealous?"

"Jealous?" She was stunned.

He stared at her intently, as if trying to see through her. After a while, he seemed to accept a certain reality and sighed. "You're heartless. I would have been happy if you said you were jealous."

Grace bit her lip. Jealous? Earlier, when Judy Dixon approached Jason, looking as though she could easily win him over, had she been jealous? Judy even looked at her with disdain.

She didn't know the answer. At that moment, jealousy hadn't even occurred to her. She only knew that Jason wouldn't accept that woman.

Was it because she believed Jason was hers? Had her trust in him unknowingly grown so much?

That thought secretly shocked Grace.

"Grace, when will you be jealous because of me? Let me see that you care about me…" He bent down and touched her cheek with his.

If he were the only one feeling jealous, it wasn't right. The relationship felt unequal, as though only his emotions were affected by her, not vice versa.

However, perhaps fairness didn't exist in romance. Perhaps one person would always love more deeply than the other.

Grace remained silent. She didn't know how to answer him. If she ever felt jealous, would it mean she no longer trusted him as much?

Jason had arranged a health checkup for Grace the next day. That night, she went to bed early. The next morning, she found Jason holding the clothes and shoes he'd bought for her the previous day. "Wear this," he said. "I've had the helpers wash them."

He's so efficient, Grace thought, taken aback.

The clothes were a comfortable, easy-to-wear casual outfit, perfect for her checkup. The shoes were slip-ons without laces.

Grace was shocked by Jason's thoughtfulness. He clearly hadn't chosen them randomly from her wardrobe; he'd put considerable thought into it.

Grace took the clothes, washed up, and changed before putting on the shoes.

When she emerged from the bathroom, Jason stared at her, mesmerized.

"What's the matter? Is something wrong?" she asked.

"Nothing. It's just…rare to see you dressed like this."

Grace looked down at her clothes. "I used to dress like this in university." In university, she preferred casual clothing because it made her feel more comfortable. However, after starting work, she wore business attire most of the time due to the dress code. In her free time, she dated Sean Stevens, who disliked her casual style, so she rarely wore it anymore.
