When Hailey made eye contact with Yarrick, she immediately began to blush.

So, this was what her husband looked like!

“Okay,” Hailey replied in a soft voice.

Yarrick held her hand and watched as she bashfully got off the bed and put on her slippers. Then, the pair walked out of the bedroom hand in hand.

Once they entered the kitchen, Hailey let go of Yarrick’s hand and said softly, “Let me set up the table, darling. Chua’s cooking is to die for.”

As the older one in the relationship, Hailey had a strong urge to take care of Yarrick—who was 20 years younger than her.

“I can’t let you do that!”

He stopped her. “Go sit at the table, honey. I’ll take care of it.”

Hailey was still sick. How could he let her do any chores? Despite not knowing what she was diagnosed with, he insisted that she rest and focus on her recovery. Her body was very weak.

Hailey watched as Yarrick adeptly set up the table. She couldn’t help but watch in awe.

He’s incredibly good at doing household chores! No wonder he always claimed that he was an excellent cook. He probably cooked very often.

“Let’s head to the dining area, honey.”

He held a plate of food with one hand and reached for Hailey’s hand with his free hand. The pair then made their way toward the dining area.

“Take a seat, honey. I’ll go get the rest of the food,” he said.

Smiling sweetly, Hailey nodded at him before heading to the dining area.

A moment later, Yarrick finished placing all the food and cutlery on the table.

Hailey walked out of the bathroom with a refreshed face. She avoided glancing at Yarrick in an embarrassed manner.

She wore flowing light blue pajamas, an outfit that looked neat and elegant and accentuated her curves. She also had long black hair that cascaded down her back and a gorgeous aura.

Yarrick suddenly felt as if he needed an extra pair of eyes to properly admire the sight before him.

Hailey was such eye candy! Haley Jardon couldn’t even hold a candle to her.

“What are you looking at?” Hailey walked over to him and shyly stroked his hair.

Yarrick looked mesmerized. “I’m staring at my wife, of course! I can’t believe how gorgeous you are!” he exclaimed.

Upon hearing that, Hailey couldn’t help but smile in embarrassment.

Hailey hummed in response before sitting opposite him.

It was a peculiar experience feeling this way. The way he stared at her made her feel almost shy.

“Didn’t you study software development in university, Yarrick?”

“Yes, I did. But I’m currently working as a secretary at my new company.” He scratched his head sheepishly before continuing, “One of the main reasons I accepted the job was because it pays really well. After all, I have a wife to look after now.”

He was a handsome young man who was working as a secretary for an attractive president. He wondered if Hailey would feel uncomfortable about it.
