Chapter 128
Selina raised an eyebrow. "Then why don't you leave the Harvey family and prove it with your actions?"
Ashley, unexpectedly taken aback, wept uncontrollably. "Fine, Selina. I'm leaving! I'll go far away!" She ran off.
"Ashley!" Sara cried out, glaring at Selina. "How could you say that to your sister!"
"I've severed ties with the Harveys," Selina retorted. "She's not my sister, and her departure was her own decision."
Before Sara could respond, she rushed after Ashley, guilt gnawing at her.
Cora stormed over, hand raised to slap Selina. Selina easily dodged the blow, tripping Cora to the ground.
Cora, wincing but regaining her composure, glared. "You!"
"At your age, you should avoid risky moves," Selina remarked dryly.
"You... you called me an old lady..." Cora seethed. Selina's youthful beauty was a stark contrast to Cora's, despite the latter's considerable efforts to maintain her appearance.
Timothy, returning from an auction, rushed to Cora's side. "Mom, are you alright?"
Cora, trembling, pointed at Selina. "Timothy, this wretch bullied Ashley! Teach her a lesson!"
Selina sneered, pulling up a chair and settling down. "Go ahead. I have all the time in the world." She watched them with amusement, thinking, "Bring it on. I'll treat it as entertainment."
Noticing the growing crowd, Timothy lowered his voice. "Mom, let's leave. We don't want to cause trouble for the Clark Group."
"But how can I swallow this indignity?" Cora protested.
"Don't worry, Mom," Timothy reassured. "Selina forgets she's Trevon's wife. If he finds out, she won't have an easy time."
"Let's see what Trevon says!" Cora agreed, deciding to leverage Trevon's influence. They departed, leaving Selina to shrug. "All that bluster, and they run? How dull."
Chapter 128 (Continued)
Cora scoffed. "Selina, don't be smug. Let's see how Trevon deals with you!"
"Running to tattle? That's all you've got? Goodbye then." Selina yawned, picking up her bag and strolling out.
Cora, furious, grabbed Timothy's arm. "Quick! Tell Trevon!"
Watching Selina depart, Cora felt a surge of intense anger.
Outside, Herbert waited, his expression incredulous.
Selina quipped, "Haven't you seen a beautiful woman before?"
"You really know how to stir up trouble," Herbert sighed. "Why are you always in the middle of it?"
"If someone punched you and tried to pee on your head, would you stay quiet?" Selina asked.
"Of course not!" Herbert replied.
"Exactly! I didn't start anything. Should I let them bully me? I'm not timid."
Herbert, though initially taken aback, conceded she had a point. Before he could continue, Selina was already in the car.
"If we don't leave now, I'm leaving you behind. I'm hungry and going home to eat with my husband."
At Insight Group, Trevon was reviewing documents. It was 6:30 PM. He wondered about Selina and Herbert's absence, a smile touching his lips as he recalled Selina's message. He imagined her having a fun time at the auction.
The office phone rang. "Mr. Brady, someone from the Clark Group is calling."
Trevon answered, and Timothy's voice filled the speaker. "Mr. Brady…"
"What is it?" Trevon asked.
Timothy recounted the events, exaggerating slightly. "Mr. Brady, if Selina continues this way…"
Trevon responded calmly. "I think my wife had a lot of fun today."
Timothy stammered. "What? Mr. Brady, if Selina continues this way, it will irreparably damage the Brady family!"
"Oh… I spoiled her, so what?" Trevon replied, leaving Timothy speechless.
