Never Truly Over Chapter 9

Chapter 9

After Wyatt heard Quinn's statement, he lowered his head and thought for a moment before saying, "This is indeed a problem. I hadn't considered it carefully before, and the situation didn't allow me to refuse.

"I ended up putting you on the spot and making you do something that isn't your responsibility. But if I were to replace you now, it might be tricky to explain to Mr. Sutton."

Quinn sensed Wyatt's hesitation and concern, so she quickly said, "Mr. Thompson, don't worry. Mr. Sutton won't have an issue with this. After all, Rebecca can provide much better service than I can.

"If Mr. Sutton accepted my service, he would be even more impressed by Rebecca."

After a brief hesitation, Wyatt said, "If that's the case, go and complete the handover procedures with Rebecca. Give her Mr. Sutton's relevant information and have her take your place. You'll return to the housekeeping department."

"Got it. Thanks, Mr. Thompson," Quinn said gratefully, sighing with relief after receiving permission.

She stood up, thanked Wyatt, and left the office.

"Remember to explain the situation to Mr. Sutton. Don't let him think we made a mistake," Wyatt reminded her.

Quinn wouldn't go to Cameron and tell him she was quitting. The person she most feared seeing now was him.

When she arrived at the butler department, she explained her intentions to Rebecca. Rebecca was surprised at first, but then secretly pleased. As the saying goes, "Allow nature to take its course; if it were meant to be, it would be." This should have been Rebecca's opportunity. Even if Quinn had snatched it initially, she still had to give it back.

Meanwhile, in the presidential suite, Cameron had just gotten out of bed. After washing and dressing, he prepared to go to the hotel's restaurant for breakfast. Rebecca, who had been waiting in the living room, immediately approached him. She greeted him warmly, "Good morning, Mr. Sutton."

When Cameron saw Rebecca, he furrowed his brows, puzzled by her presence.

In the adjacent bedroom, Harry also got out of bed. Yawning, he walked into the living room and looked at Rebecca oddly.

"Who are you? Where's Ms. Lawson?" Harry asked.

Rebecca smiled politely and replied, "Ms. Lawson was originally the housekeeping manager and unfamiliar with butler services.

"Perhaps worried about her poor service to Mr. Sutton, she explained the situation to Mr. Thompson and returned to the housekeeping department.

"In the next few days, Mr. Sutton's laundry, food, accommodation, and transportation in Xenvale will be handled by me. My name is Rebecca Lynch, and I am the head of the butler department. Please—"

She hadn't finished speaking when Cameron raised his hand and interrupted her, "Call her over."

Rebecca's expression froze in confusion.

Cameron, too lazy to argue, walked out the door. He was ready to personally ask Quinn why she had changed his butler.

"Mr. Sutton…" Rebecca was shocked and wanted to follow him.

Harry raised his hand to stop her. "Ms. Lynch, was it? Go back and tell Mr. Thompson that if the hotel can't properly arrange a decent butler, we may consider changing hotels."

Rebecca was unsure what she had done wrong. However, her years of experience had given her a keen sense of guest needs. She knew she performed her duties well, so she silently endured her displeasure and exited the room.

In deluxe room 2605, Melissa was being harassed by a drunken guest. Quinn, having received the news, immediately went to handle the situation.
