Chapter 586
Trevor felt guilty as Aubree accused him, but what he felt even more was resentment. He blamed Carmen, thinking it was all because of her that he was mistaken about Aubree back then, thus leading to this whole mess. If not for that, he could have had an amazing, truly wonderful little sister.
He didnโt want to end up like Bryan and the others, lost in regret and not knowing what to do. Since they all wanted her back so badly, why were they just talking and not actually doing anything? No matter what Aubree did, she was still their family.
โItโs okay, Aubree,โ Trevor said with a smile, taking a step closer. โYou might not forgive me right now, but weโve got all the time in the world. One day, youโll forgive me and realize that I still love you.โ
Aubree instantly sensed something was wrong. She hurriedly stepped back and tried to leave, but the bodyguards Trevor had stationed there quickly moved in and restrained her.
โTake her to the car,โ Trevor ordered.
Aubreeโs eyes went wide in disbelief as she struggled hard. She honestly never thought Trevor would have the guts to abduct her in broad daylight.
โTrevor, are you insane? This is kidnapping. Itโs against the law!โ she yelled.
โKidnapping? Donโt make it sound so awful,โ Trevor replied with a faint smile. He reached out and, ignoring Aubreeโs resistance, firmly ruffled her hair. โIโm just a caring big brother trying to bring my stubborn little sister home. Even if the cops show up, what can they do?โ
Aubree was fuming, but she couldnโt break free. In no time, she was shoved into the car. Trevor left a bodyguard in the back seat to hold Aubree down, then sat right beside her as the car started up. None of them realized that someone in a nearby car had witnessed everything from start to finish.
โMr. Turner, Miss Miller has been abducted!โ Ethan, who was behind the wheel, sounded anxious. The Wilson family and Aubree never got along, and not long ago, Aubree had set a huge trap for Trevor. Ethan wondered if Trevor decided to get revenge out of anger and humiliation.
Bowen had naturally caught the whole scene. โFollow them,โ he ordered. He kept his tone calm, but inside, he was relieved heโd decided to come over tonight. Originally, heโd just wanted to find Bree and ask her about the new cancer drug Walton Pharmaceuticals was working on.
Inside the car, Trevor kept trying to persuade Aubree. โAubree, canโt you just behave for once? Iโm not going to hurt you. Iโm just taking you home.โ
โHome? Trevor, Iโm an orphan. I donโt have a home, and I definitely donโt have a family like yours.โ Aubree glared at him, struggling hard. If she could break free, sheโd jump out of the car just to get away.
โOnce weโre home, Iโll let you go,โ Trevor said, his plan simple in his mind. โOnce Aubree is back at the house, Iโll punish Carmen right in front of her. Aubree canโt possibly not be moved by that, right?!โ
With that thought, Trevor couldnโt wait to call the butler. โIs Carmen at home right now?โ
When he heard that Carmen was indeed at home, he got even more excited.
โAubree, once weโre home, youโll see just how determined I am,โ he said.
Aubree couldnโt be bothered to argue with him anymore. She knew there was no way to break free, so she stopped struggling and decided to save her strength. Maybe once they got to the Wilson familyโs mansion, thereโd be a chance for things to turn around. She knew Trevor was probably planning to put Carmen in her place right in front of her. She might have hated Carmen, but that didnโt mean all the pain sheโd suffered was just Carmenโs fault. No one in the Wilson family could absolve themselves.
The bodyguard driving soon noticed Bowen tailing them. โMr. Trevor Wilson, someoneโs following us.โ
Trevor immediately glanced back, just as a car with its headlights blazing pulled up behind them, flooding their rear window with light. When he caught the license plate, his face darkened. โTch, heโs clingy as ever. Does he have nothing better to do than stick to us like glue?โ
