The smile on Amelia’s face froze for a split second. Did Mr. Jos just say I should learn from… Olivia?

Daisy’s eyes widened in disbelief, her face filled with shock. “Mr. Jos… did you just say Amelia should learn from who?”

“From Olivia,” Jos replied without hesitation.

Amelia was too stunned to speak. Daisy sucked in a sharp breath.

Completely unaware of their reactions, Jos continued, “I had my doubts about Olivia’s skills before, but she surprised me today.”

He turned to Amelia, adding, “You have a good eye for talent. I’m very happy with your recommendation.”

Although the words were meant as praise, Amelia couldn’t feel happy about them. Is Olivia’s acting impressive? How ridiculous! I’ve seen how bad she was before.

Despite her turbulent thoughts, Amelia maintained a gentle smile, appearing pleased by Jos’s approval. “If you’re satisfied with her performance, Mr. Jos, that’s all that matters.”

Jos nodded approvingly.

Daisy, however, looked deeply conflicted. She had been worried Olivia’s disastrous acting would drag Amelia down. Yet here was Jos, praising her performance. “Willow, go study your lines properly,” Jos barked at the crying Willow, his expression dark.

Then, turning to Amelia, he said, “In the meantime, watch Olivia’s first scene. Your roles are similar, as both are innocent girls transitioning from the countryside to the city. Observe her approach and take notes.”

Jos instructed the crew to play Olivia’s scene on the monitor.

Amelia’s thoughts raced. Could Olivia’s acting really surpass mine?

When the screen lit up, and Olivia’s fresh, radiant face appeared, Amelia froze. No makeup? What were Daniel and Eve doing?

“Is that Olivia?” Daisy was equally shocked. She had never seen Olivia without heavy makeup. The pure, beautiful girl on screen was a far cry from the overly made-up Olivia she knew.

Jos nodded.

Daisy fell silent. As an experienced manager, she immediately recognized Olivia’s natural beauty as a powerful asset in the entertainment industry. Her looks… might even surpass Amelia’s!

Both Amelia and Daisy stared at the screen, watching Olivia’s natural performance. The emotions in her eyes as she stood before the green screen left them speechless.

“Amelia, your earlier scene of arriving in the city was acceptable, but Olivia’s gaze is just so authentic,” Jos said. He captured exactly how someone would feel entering a bustling city for the first time. She’s even gone beyond what the script describes.
