Chapter 19: Had Been Looked Down

Just as the staff was about to speak, a group of elegantly dressed young women entered Carlos Harmonies.

“Samuel, I heard you’ve imported a batch of custom pianos from Arvenia,” the leading girl said, dressed in a Chanel couture outfit and carrying a Hermès handbag. Her voice was graceful and authoritative.

The staff member, who had been dismissive of Isabella and Olivia, instantly switched to a fawning smile upon seeing her. He left Olivia and Isabella to warmly greet Lily and her entourage.

“Ms. Lily, the batch of pianos customized by Mr. Michael just arrived today. Please feel free to select,” the staff member said, leading Lily to the collection of custom pianos.

Lily’s haughty gaze swept over the pianos before settling on the white grand piano.

“Piano Echoes’ custom model?”

“Ms. Lily, you have a keen eye. This is the only pure white piano in this batch, and it’s not expensive, only 3.8 million,” the staff member replied with a smile.

Lily chuckled. “Do you think I care about the price?”

The staff member smiled awkwardly.

The two girls accompanying Lily complimented, “This piano is so beautiful. Lil, you have great taste.”

“Just in time for your solo performance at the upcoming showcase, this piano is simply perfect!”

Lily was pleased with the praise. She took out a black card.

“Charge it. Have it delivered to my house today.”

Seeing Lily’s prompt payment, the staff member’s smile widened as he eagerly reached for the black card, completely ignoring Olivia and Isabella still standing by the piano.

Just as the staff member was about to process the payment, a cold voice suddenly cut through the air.

“This piano was first noticed by us.”

Isabella was startled by Olivia’s sudden intervention.

Lily then noticed the two plainly dressed girls standing by the piano. Her brows furrowed instantly, and she turned to the staff member.

“Samuel, since when did Carlos Harmonies start catering to people like them? They haven’t touched this piano, have they? Who knows what kind of germs these commoners might carry.”

Lily instinctively took a step back, as if the mere presence of Olivia and Isabella was a form of contamination for her.

“No, no, Ms. Lily, rest assured, they haven’t touched it,” the staff member quickly reassured, glancing at Olivia with growing impatience.

“Miss, please don’t cause a disturbance.”

Olivia said, “There’s a saying, ‘First come, first served.’ Do you understand?”

The staff member was almost amused by Olivia’s words. “Miss, being first is also about whether the person can afford to buy. Are you saying that because you’re staring at this piano, we can’t sell it?”

“I didn’t say I wouldn’t buy it,” Olivia raised an eyebrow.

The staff member scanned Olivia’s cheap clothing and rolled his eyes.

Lily was too disdainful to waste time on such commoners. “Looking at your clothes, they probably cost less than two hundred dollars in total. This piano costs over three million. Are you saying you can buy it? Can you afford it?”

She hated those who were out of touch with reality; they were simply revolting.

The staff member added, “Miss, we’re in the business of selling. If you want to buy, then pay!”

The two girls accompanying Lily nickered.

“Pay? With her status, how could she possibly come up with that much money?”

“Even if you want to boast, at least consider the occasion.”

Isabella was completely panicked by the situation and tugged at Olivia’s hand. “Livi, let’s just go.”

Olivia looked at the disdainful faces around her and took out a black-gold card from her pocket, tossing it at the staff member’s face.
