Chapter 368: I’ll Knock You Out

Who would benefit most from Byron controlling the Moor family? That would obviously be the mistress and the illegitimate child. Olivia pondered.

Byron, who had just breathed a sigh of relief from clearing his name, now had his face turn utterly dark.

“It can’t be them! You must be mistaken!” Byron denied outright, his nervousness now even greater when he was under suspicion.

Watching Byron still not seeing the truth, Daxton wished he could slap some sense into him.

“Dad, Emily is just a delicate woman who can’t fend for herself; how could she have had the chance to drug you? Besides… Your leg problem started before Benedict returned to the Moore family. Benedict was too young then; it couldn’t possibly have been him.”

As Byron spoke, he suddenly seemed to realize something, his gaze darting between Olivia and Benjamin. Then he looked directly at Benjamin.

“I know you’ve been upset about past incidents with Benedict, but remember, he’s always your brother. Even if you dislike him, there’s no need to collude with outsiders to slander them, right?”

Benjamin was stunned. Who’s going to open dad’s head? It is the first time I realized dad is so blindly in love!

Olivia was utterly speechless with Byron’s thought process. She directly picked up Byron’s phone from the table.

Byron was momentarily stunned and reached out to grab it, but Olivia kicked him onto the sofa.

“I don’t have time to waste here with you. You either sit quietly, or I’ll knock you out.” Olivia’s patience was waning.

If it weren’t for Benjamin’s past favors and Daxton’s generous reward, Olivia really wouldn’t bother with the Moore family’s nonsense.

Byron, unaccustomed to such rough treatment, was completely taken aback by Olivia’s shout and forgot to resist.

Olivia opened Byron’s phone and found “Emily’s” contact in his directory. She glanced at Benjamin.

Benjamin said, “That’s the woman’s number.”

Olivia, in front of the three generations of Moore family men, dialed the mistress’s number.

“Dear? Why are you calling so early today?” A pretentious female voice came from the other end.

Byron instinctively wanted to speak, but Olivia grabbed his neck. Byron was stunned. Daxton and Benjamin went quiet. Wow, she’s fierce!

Chapter 368.1: Knock You Out

“Miss you,”

Byron, his face red from being choked, stared at Olivia in disbelief. This woman is using my voice to flirt with my mistress? Absolutely ridiculous!

But with Olivia choking him, Byron had no room to resist.

Olivia continued, “Father suddenly fell ill today; the doctor says it’s bad, he might not make it through the night.”

A completely lucid Daxton was completely stunned.

Olivia completely ignored the bewildered expressions of the three Moore men, cajoling and deceiving Byron’s mistress into thinking Daxton was about to pass, urging her to come over to pay her last respects tonight.

After hanging up, Olivia tossed the phone back to Benjamin and released Byron’s neck.

“If you want to clear your mistress’ suspicion, you’d better cooperate nicely.”

These words crushed any remaining defiance in Byron.
