Olivia recalled the big shot who had given her an award that day and asked for her number in front of everyone. Now, she understood why Hudson was so partial to her. She had to admit the way Hudson and Asher handled things was strikingly similar. They were both so straightforward about asking for her number.

Lucas watched Olivia and Hudson chatting happily, grinding his teeth in frustration. He was here to help Benjamin, yet before Benjamin could even exchange a few words with Olivia, Hudson had gotten her number? This place was no good to linger in!

“If Ms. Carter’s interested, let’s go together,” Hudson suggested.

He then led everyone to the betting area, where he also bumped into Benjamin and Benedict.

When Benjamin saw that Olivia had arrived with Hudson, a trace of surprise flashed across his usually distant expression.

The betting area displayed the names of all the racers. Olivia had just signed up, so her name was there too. However, no one paid attention to her name. Olivia looked at the names and turned to Lucas. “Do you have cash?”

“If Ms. Carter needs it, I also have some cash,” Hudson said with a smile, handing her another wad of cash from his wallet.

Benjamin frowned slightly but silently shoved his wallet into Olivia’s hands.

Olivia was shocked to see so many generous people around her.

Benedict, who had tagged along with Benjamin, was bewildered by how both Hudson and Benjamin were offering money to please Olivia. In his eyes, Olivia was just an ordinary girl, someone you wouldn’t give a second glance to in a crowd.
