Chapter 89: Overthinking
She was showing the new student around campus at the schoolโs request. With their striking appearances, the two had already caught the attention of many students as they walked through the academy. Claire basked in the admiring looks they received, thoroughly enjoying the feeling of being in the spotlight.
โClaire,โ Hudson said after walking around for a while, anxious to find the person he was looking for. โCould you take me to the acting department classrooms?โ
Claire blinked, surprised. Hudson had transferred into the music department, so why was he specifically asking to visit the acting department?
โOf course. Do you know someone in the acting department?โ
Hudson thought of Oliviaโs figure from the night before, and a gentle smile spread across his handsome face. โYou could say that.โ
Claire grew curious about who Hudson was looking for. The reason behind Hudsonโs transfer to St. Rona Academy had been the subject of much speculation. With only a few months left before graduation, there was no real need for him to switch schools.
Claire led Hudson to a few classrooms in the acting department. Their arrival immediately drew gasps of awe from the acting students. The girls, in particular, were mesmerized by Hudsonโs stunning features, their hearts fluttering as they pressed themselves against the windows, their faces flushed.
โWow! Is that Hudson? Heโs even more gorgeous than in the photos.โ
โItโs such a shame heโs in the music department. Otherwise, Iโd totally try to get to know him.โ
โWake up! Canโt you see he came here with Claire? Now that Ameliaโs gone, Claireโs basically our campus beauty. Look at how sheโs eyeing himโyou donโt stand a chance!โ
Hudson checked several classrooms but didnโt see Olivia anywhere. If his uncle hadnโt told him that Olivia was in the acting department, he wouldโve started to doubt whether he was even in the right place.
Left with no choice, Hudson decided to give up for now. As Hudson and Claire were leaving the acting department building, three figures walking toward them immediately caught Hudsonโs attention. A smile involuntarily appeared on his face, a subtle change that made Claireโs heart skip a beat.
Chapter 84: Overthinking
โI told you to wait; the school nurse might show up soon. If not, I can just take you to the hospital,โ Lucas was saying to Olivia. The school nurse was nowhere to be found, and after waiting for what felt like forever, Olivia had gotten impatient and decided to leave. Lucas had followed, continuing to nag.
Olivia felt like she was going to lose her mind. Of all things for a hot-blooded teenage boy to do, why was he acting like someoneโs overbearing mother? With Sophia constantly flaunting herself nearby, Olivia felt that if she stayed any longer, she wouldnโt die from illness but from sheer annoyance.
โIf you donโt shut up, Iโll punch you,โ Olivia said, clenching her fist. Lucas, recalling the time Olivia had snapped someoneโs fingers barhanded, instantly fell silent.
Just as Olivia was finally enjoying some peace, a warm voice called out from ahead. โSo this is where youโve been. Iโve been looking for you everywhere.โ
Hudson, smiling, looked directly at Olivia, completely oblivious to Claireโs stunned expression beside him. Hudsonโs sudden appearance and his words made Sophiaโs heart skip a beat.
After all, Olivia didnโt know Hudson, Lucas clearly disliked him, and she herself had at least met Hudson once. Soโฆ could he actually be here for me? Sophia wondered. Her face lit up with her signature sweet smile.
