Chapter 60
Wilson caressed Yvonne's hair and casually asked, "What happened?"
Yvonne poured out her story, "I went to Mr. Zelinski's private club for dinner a few days ago with some friends and ran into Ms. Yeager and Mr. Turner. I originally wanted to give Ms. Yeager the private room you reserved for me, but she didn't appreciate it. She even said she could fight for what she wants.
"The front desk manager followed the rules and didn't give the room to Ms. Yeager, but Mr. Turner called Mr. Zelinski. Just like that, the exclusive private room was handed over to Mr. Turner. It seems Mr. Turner and Ms. Yeager are very close."
A flicker of coldness flashed in Wilson's eyes, though he quickly suppressed it. "Wow, Sebastian again."
He released Yvonne, his gaze darkening. "I'll take care of this. That private room is yours, and it will stay yours. If I said it's exclusive to you, then that's how it will be."
Yvonne leaned into Wilson's cheek, rubbing against it affectionately. "You're the best, Wilson. There's something else. The styling team my company signed with is run by Zoey. I politely told Zoey my request, which is just a simple haute couture gown.
"But Ms. Daphne wouldn't let Zoey help me borrow one. She even called me a 'stress' and said I'm not wealthy enough to humiliate me. What am I supposed to do? I just don't want to embarrass you."
Tears welled in her eyes, clinging to the corners and threatening to fall.
Seeing her like this, Wilson's expression softened. He gently patted her shoulder. "No one will bully you while I'm here."
Meanwhile, Daphne drove herself to Garry's office building. Since the CEO was unavailable, the business director met with her. Daphne had a good relationship with Garry's executives, having previously worn their haute couture on multiple occasions.
Hence, she got straight to the point. "Mr. Scott, I know this might be difficult since she's a new star with only a year in the industry, but I have to ask this favor for my sister's sake.
"Is it Yvonne Smith? I know her. She's certainly not qualified by status alone. Besides, her temperament is…"
Jeremy Scott trailed off tactfully, then added, "Also, isn't she rumored to be involved with your husband?"
Artists with controversial reputations were often avoided by prestigious brands.
Daphne clarified, "To be precise, he's my soon-to-be ex-husband. I only hope my sister can use this event to showcase her skills and gain recognition. A haute couture piece would be the finishing touch. I hope you understand."
Jeremy paused, considering Daphne's status in both the entertainment and fashion industries, as well as their history of successful collaborations. Finally, he nodded. "I understand. Alright, I'll make an exception under one condition."
"Please," Daphne replied.
"Your sister's styling must complement our gown. At the very least, it must not lower our brand's standards."
"You can rest assured. I guarantee she'll do an excellent job. Thank you. Don't hesitate to ask if you ever need anything in the future."
"Have her contact me tomorrow to pick it up. We'll need to do a borrowing registration."
"Thank you so much, Mr. Scott. Dinner's on me after the event."
After smoothly securing the haute couture gown for Yvonne, Daphne sent Zoey a message with Jeremy's contact information.
