Chapter 118

Wyatt's expression darkened as he snapped back, "Sheโ€™s a Gibson by blood. Why wouldnโ€™t she have the right to come home? Evan's place is of use that you get to stay in this house. What's wrong with her being here!"

Gabrielโ€™s face turned ugly after Wyattโ€™s harsh words. โ€œDad!โ€

Abigail hadnโ€™t expected Wyatt to be so brutal when he got angry.

โ€œI came back specifically to stand up for Abby,โ€ Wyatt said, leading her further into the house. He stopped at the shoe cabinet and looked around, his voice dropping low. โ€œWhy arenโ€™t there any slippers for Abby in this house?โ€

โ€œShe moved out a long time ago,โ€ Bianca answered immediately, her eyes settling on Abigail standing behind Wyatt. She never expected Abigail would actually come back.

โ€œShe took her own things. What Iโ€™m asking is why you didnโ€™t set up a proper closet for Abby.โ€ Wyattโ€™s tone was sharp and demanding.

Gabriel frowned, โ€œDad-โ€

โ€œDaniellaโ€™s just an adopted daughter, but she has her own walk-in closet upstairs with enough shoes to wear a different pair every day. Why doesnโ€™t Abby have any of that?โ€

Wyatt grabbed an expensive sculpture from the entryway cabinet and hurled it at Gabrielโ€™s feet. โ€œWhat kind of parents are you?โ€

The sculpture shattered into pieces, making Gabriel and Bianca jump. Even Daniella, whoโ€™d been sitting on the couch, shot to her feet in shock. โ€œGrandpa, Mom was going toโ€”โ€

โ€œShut your mouth! When we are talking, you donโ€™t get to interrupt.โ€ Wyattโ€™s voice cut through her words like ice.

Daniellaโ€™s eyes immediately filled with tears as she shrank back behind Bianca.

โ€œDad, how could you talk to Dani like this? Donโ€™t you care about our history at all?โ€ Biancaโ€™s voice carried clear irritation.

โ€œSheโ€™s adopted, but she thinks sheโ€™s actual Gibson blood. Iโ€™m wondering why I should care about her.โ€ Wyattโ€™s words were blunt.

Bianca started to argue back, but Gabriel stopped her. โ€œLetโ€™s get Abby some slippers first. Dad, is your health okay now?โ€

โ€œWhatโ€™s that supposed to mean? Are you hoping somethingโ€™s wrong with me?โ€ Wyatt shot back.

โ€œLook at you. Ever since youโ€™ve been around Abby, youโ€™ve gotten so sharp-tongued.โ€ Gabriel shot a meaningful look at Bianca.

โ€œAbby, we kept your old room just the way it was. Itโ€™s getting late, so let me show you upstairs.โ€ Bianca stepped forward with a fake smile, trying to sound sweet as she reached for Abigailโ€™s hand.

Abigail frowned and coldly pulled away from Biancaโ€™s grasp.

Biancaโ€™s hand hung awkwardly in midair, and she forced out another smile while looking helplessly at Wyatt.

โ€œIโ€™m going to check out her room,โ€ Wyatt announced. He ignored Bianca completely and looked at Abigail with obvious affection.

โ€œDonโ€™t bother changing your shoes. Weโ€™ll have the staff clean up later. If any of the servants complain, they can blame the people running this house for not knowing how to treat their guests properly,โ€ he said.

Abigail couldnโ€™t help but smile at how Wyatt was defending her so fiercely. โ€œOkay.โ€ They headed upstairs together.

Bianca sidled up to Gabriel and whispered, โ€œHas Wyatt completely recovered?โ€

Gabriel didnโ€™t answer and instead followed them upstairs.

When Wyatt saw Abigailโ€™s room, his expression darkened even more. He spotted Gabriel coming up the stairs and said bluntly โ€œMove Daniella tonight. Clear out her room and give it to Abby.โ€

โ€œDad, I need to talk to you about something. Can you come to my study?โ€ Gabriel glanced at Abigail standing beside Wyatt and lowered his voice.

โ€œTell Bianca to clear out Daniโ€™s room,โ€ Wyatt said with a stern expression.

โ€œLetโ€™s go to the study first,โ€ Gabriel said stubbornly.

โ€œSo youโ€™re not going to listen to me?โ€ Wyatt snapped, then shouted downstairs, โ€œBianca! Where are you? Clear out Daniโ€™s room right now! Whatโ€™s wrong with you people?โ€

Gabriel couldnโ€™t control his anger anymore. His face flushed red as he raised his voice. โ€œDad! Do you really have to do this? Youโ€™re going to regret it."

โ€œIf you and your wife wonโ€™t cooperate, then weโ€™ll redistribute the shares,โ€ Wyatt said firmly.

Gabriel saw Bianca coming upstairs and tried to suppress the rage building in his chest. He shot a harsh glare at Abigail before speaking, โ€œClear out Daniโ€™s room!โ€

โ€œWhy does it have to be her room? Youโ€™re just trying to humiliate her,โ€ Bianca protested reluctantly.

โ€œJust do what I told you and stop arguing!โ€ Gabriel snapped back irritably.

Bianca had no choice but to get the housekeepers to help her.

Daniella had followed them upstairs and heard everything. She stood to the side wiping away tears, looking absolutely pitiful.

Abigail watched coldly as Bianca and the staff moved all of Daniellaโ€™s belongings from her room to the room where Abigail used to stay.

Once they finished switching the rooms, Wyatt told her to go rest while he headed into the study with Gabriel.
