Chapter 1068: A Chance

Little Bunny silently clutched her phone, a nameless discomfort settling over her. She suppressed the urge to lash out.

Tanya had been at her side, initially unaware of the unfolding events. Hearing Little Bunny speak to their manager, she sensed trouble and saw the news, witnessing Little Bunny's tears. Though furious, Tanya held back, unwilling to exacerbate Little Bunny's distress.

"Little Bunny," Tanya began.

Little Bunny fought back tears. The entertainment industry was unforgiving; one misstep could have irreversible consequences. She envisioned the cruel possibilities, including a permanent blacklist.

"Little Bunny," Tanya said, finding her courage. "The only person who can help you now is Mr. Wold."

Tanya wondered why Little Bunny wasn't utilizing Theodore, who could easily resolve the situation.

Little Bunny glanced at Tanya. "Please ask for a day off for me. I'm not feeling well enough to film today. Tell him I'll shoot my scenes tomorrow."

Tanya nodded, quickly leaving the dressing room. Little Bunny remained, lost in thought. The news spread rapidly, becoming a trending topic, bringing a deluge of criticism. Countless people demanded she leave show business; even some fans turned against her, pledging allegiance to Caroline.

Caroline reveled in the response; taking down Little Bunny had been effortless.

Susan, a gossip enthusiast, couldn't ignore the news. She'd believed Little Bunny and Caroline were true friends, noting that Little Bunny had given Caroline her role after Theodore's child was born. However, reading the articlesโ€”clearly Caroline's perspectiveโ€”left her questioning if Little Bunny was jealous of Caroline's success. But the revelation that Caroline had provided Little Bunny with all her resources over the years left Susan speechless.

She berated herself for her doubt. Despite years of acquaintance and limited recent contact, she shouldn't have questioned Little Bunny's character. She wanted to call the media, expose Caroline's deceit, but Manuel stopped her.

"Calm down," he said.

Susan was agitated. "She's being vilified, and I should just do nothing? Caroline thinks Little Bunny is easy to bully because she lacks support."

"I heard Theodore visited Little Bunny," Manuel stated flatly.

"What?!"

"Theodore wants to win her back."

"How shameless! After everything he did?!"

"Regardless, we should give him another chance."

"Manuel, you're unbelievable! Theodore's slept with countless women. Is it fair to Little Bunny to stay with him?"

"I believe in second chances."

Susan sneered. "The most annoying thing about men is pretending to be noble when you're wrong."

Manuel persisted, "Think about Nicholas," finally giving up due to Susan's bias. "No child wants their parents to separate."

Susan's lip trembled. She felt sorry for Nicholas. Manuel always knew her weak point.

"My point is, since Theodore wants Little Bunny back, give him a chance to prove himself," Manuel smiled slightly. "Let Theodore take the credit for saving Little Bunny."

Susan frowned. I don't want Little Bunny to fall back into Theodore's hands.

"Even for Nicholas, if Theodore remains fickle, we'll harm Little Bunny. It's good she dislikes him now; anything he does would disgust her. But if she falls for himโ€ฆ"

"When has Theodore been serious about a woman?" Manuel asked.

"That scumbag!"

"If he's serious, she'll be important to him. I guarantee Theodore will never be the same. With Little Bunny, he'll truly love only her."

"You're joking."

"Wanna bet?" Manuel challenged.

"How?" Susan's interest piqued.

"If Theodore treats Little Bunny well and doesn't pursue other women, you promise me one thing. If the opposite happens, I'll grant you a request."

"Any request?"

"Anything."

"What if I ask you to twerk?" Susan challenged.

Manuel was silent.

"Scared?" Susan taunted.

"Okay," Manuel conceded, "It's impossible anyway."

"Since you're so sure, I'll bet. If I lose, Manuel, you keep your word."

"Deal!"
