No one knew she had actually died at age 32, only to inexplicably return to her 22-year-old self.

After her appointment with Percy, she returned to the office with Rose. Upon entering, she saw Mary leaving with her handbag. Hannah frowned.

Mary, appearing despondent, said, “Ms. Hannah, I need a leave for the rest of the day. My sister is in trouble; I need to be with her in case she attempts suicide.”

Hannah sneered. Take care of her? she thought. Or was Mary seeking an opportunity to further harm Jane?

Hannah nodded her approval. She relished the prospect of Jane and Mary’s conflict, anticipating personal gain.

Mary, after expressing gratitude, hurried away, but couldn't resist a jealous glance at Hannah. Gritting her teeth, she silently vowed Hannah would be her next target.

She left the company and returned to the Cooper Residence. Entering, she heard Esther crying.

“Charles set her up! It must be! Jane would never do such a thing…”

“Enough! Stop crying!” Roger roared, his voice shrill. “A lady of the upper class—that's what you’re proud of, and why you scorn Michelle's background. But have you considered why Michelle, despite her humble origins, raised a brilliant girl like Hannah? Look at you—what kind of daughter have you raised? I can’t believe I defended her this morning! The humiliation!”

“Jane would never do that!” Esther insisted.

“Shut up!” Roger raged. “I'll kill her!”

“Roger, no!” Esther tried to stop him, but he pushed her to the ground. Mary rushed to help Esther, asking, “Are you okay?”

Esther, enraged, slapped Mary. “You little bastard! How dare you touch me! If you hadn't suggested Jane hook up with Charles, this wouldn't have happened! I'll kill you!”

Esther lunged at Mary, but Roger, further enraged by the scene, pushed Esther to the ground. She looked at him in disbelief.

“You call Mary a bastard? You're worse!”

“Roger!” Esther screamed.

Lorie, from the lobby, shouted, “Enough!”

Roger, simmering, swallowed his anger. “Jane will be punished for the shame she’s brought on our family. Esther, be quiet.”

“Lorie, I think it was Charles…”

“I told you to shut up!” Lorie snapped.

Esther held back her fury. Lorie then turned to Mary. “Mary, what are you doing here?”

Mary, covering her face, replied pitifully, “I came to comfort Jane. I’m afraid she’ll be overcome with grief.”

“Work is your priority!” Lorie reprimanded.

“Okay.”

“Go to your room. I need to speak with your father.”

“Okay.”

Mary left. Lorie dismissed her easily. Mary, however, didn't go to her room. She went to Jane’s, where she heard Jane smashing things.

A vicious smile played on Mary’s lips. She opened the door. "Sis."

“Fuck off!” Jane screamed.

“You should fuck off,” Mary sneered.

“Mary, you bitch!”

“Let me guess—Grandma and Dad are planning to cast you out for the disgrace you’ve brought on the family.”

“What are you talking about?”

“You're disgusting, shameless, and dissolute! I can't believe a fool like you is a Cooper!” Mary unleashed her cruelty.

“Mary!” Jane shrieked, aghast at Mary’s audacity.

“You actually hooked up with Charles, as I suggested? Did you really think he’d fall for you? If he were that easy, I’d have done it myself. You stupid idiot!”

“Mary, you bitch!” Jane’s eyes blazed.

She realized she'd fallen into Mary's trap.

“If I were you, I’d kill myself,” Mary said calmly. “I can't believe you’re shameless enough to live.”

“Mary, I’ll kill you!” Jane raged, threatening to destroy Mary.

This was precisely what Mary intended. As Jane lunged, Mary produced a knife. Jane, blinded by rage, didn’t notice.

Mary grabbed Jane’s arm and slashed her wrist. Jane gasped, trying to scream, but Mary silenced her. Jane fainted from blood loss.

Mary placed the knife beside Jane to stage a suicide, then screamed to attract attention.

Roger arrived first, seeing Mary kneeling beside the bloodied Jane. Esther and Lorie, followed by the servants, rushed in, shocked by the scene.

Esther collapsed, cradling Jane’s body. “Jane…Jane! Wake up!” she cried.

Watching the chaos, a wicked satisfaction spread across Mary’s face. She would finally replace Jane.
