Chapter 432 Two Choices

At Chandlerโ€™s words, a flicker of embarrassment crossed Charlotteโ€™s face.

Morton was furious. He understood just how difficult Chandler could be. If it werenโ€™t for that, he wouldnโ€™t have stayed abroad for so long.

โ€œChandler, what do you want? Why drag my son into our family issues?โ€

โ€œMorton, what do you mean? Weโ€™re family, so where are these grievances coming from? I should be glad youโ€™re back home.โ€

Morton frowned, hearing the warning hidden beneath Chandlerโ€™s supposed cheer.

โ€œBesides, this has nothing to do with our relationship. Your son did something wrong; how does that connect to our issues?"

โ€œStop taking all the blame upon yourself. Youโ€™re spoiling Dalton. Heโ€™s not a child anymore, yet heโ€™s accomplished nothing. Morton, Charlotte, doesnโ€™t this indicate a failure in your parenting?โ€

Dalton found himself at a loss for words.

The expressions on Morton and Charlotteโ€™s faces darkened significantly.

Every word Chandler spoke felt like a direct hit to them. They realized that Chandler was seeking revenge for Meryl.

After Meryl had been bullied by them, Chandler was determined to restore her dignity.

Chandler had always been one to settle scores.

Meryl sat in the hallway, having just finished a cupcake. She couldnโ€™t help but smile at what she heard.

It warmed her to know that Chandler cared about her.

In the hospital room, Chandlerโ€™s cold gaze swept across Daltonโ€™s face.

โ€œIโ€™m giving you two options. Once you recover, you can leave for abroad like your father and never return. If you want to stay in this country, the Aniston family will expel you. In other words, you will no longer be part of the Aniston family.โ€

After he finished speaking, the room fell into a heavy silence.

Mortonโ€™s face darkened, his voice rising several octaves. โ€œChandler! You want to disown my son? I refuse to agree!โ€

Chandler regarded Morton calmly. โ€œIf you donโ€™t want him expelled, then he can choose the first option.โ€

Yet the first option didnโ€™t differ much from being cast out.

Living abroad forever would mean missing out on the resources of the Aniston family. While he would still be associated with the family, such a hollow title held no real value.

โ€œDad, say something! Are you going to let Chandler do this?โ€ Morton was in a complete panic.

Dylan was taken aback by Chandlerโ€™s decision.

His instinct told him that Chandlerโ€™s reasoning ran deeper than it appeared.

Dalton was Dylanโ€™s favorite grandson, and he had watched him grow up, so their bond was extraordinary.

Dylan turned to Chandler. โ€œChandler, is this punishment too harsh?โ€

โ€œHarsh? Dad, have you forgotten our family rules?โ€

Lydia, who had been silent until now, finally reacted.

Both choices were a dead end for Dalton, but she and Dalton were intertwined.

โ€œChandler, Iโ€™m carrying the next generation of the Aniston family. If Dalton is expelled, what will happen to my child?โ€

Charlotte nodded in agreement. โ€œExactly. Lydia is pregnant with the familyโ€™s bloodline. That child is Dylanโ€™s great-grandson. Chandler, donโ€™t be so heartless.โ€

โ€œHeartless? Fine, Iโ€™ll make an exception. That child can be considered part of the family, but Dalton cannot.โ€

Chandlerโ€™s tone was resolute as his gaze locked onto Dalton. โ€œYou have two paths. Go abroad or be expelled from the Aniston family. Choose one.โ€
