Chapter 435 The Pathetic Dalton

โ€œNothing happened between Meryl and me. But you? You were with another man behind my back, acting all pure in front of me. Lydia, what right do you have to question me now?โ€

Lydia bit her lip. โ€œIโ€™m your wife! Iโ€™m pregnant with your child, and I just begged Chandler on behalf of this baby!โ€

โ€œWhen did I ask you to beg for me? Donโ€™t think you can tie us together just because of the child. Iโ€™ll tell you, thatโ€™s impossible!โ€

No sooner had he finished speaking than four or five bodyguards entered the room.

โ€œNow that my mom isnโ€™t here, Lydia, Iโ€™m taking you to terminate the pregnancy.โ€

Lydia was horrified. She never expected Dalton to be so ruthless.

As she saw the bodyguards closing in, she instinctively stepped back.

โ€œWhat do you want? I wonโ€™t agree! I wonโ€™t have an abortion! You canโ€™t force me!โ€

โ€œDalton, without this child, how can you stay in this country? If you leave, how will you continue your relationship with Meryl?โ€

Driven to desperation, Lydia spoke without thinking.

Her words were harsh. Furious, Dalton threw a cup from the table.

โ€œShut up! What nonsense are you spouting? You will not tarnish her name!โ€

The cup hit Lydiaโ€™s abdomen, causing her to pale and crouch on the floor, clutching her stomach, beads of cold sweat forming on her forehead.

Being treated this way by the man she loved was unbearable for Lydia.

Her eyes turned red as her shoulders trembled with emotion.

โ€œMeryl is your dream girl, and I canโ€™t even mention her without you protecting her? Iโ€™m your wife!

โ€œYou want a divorce? Do you want to get rid of me? Iโ€™ll tell you, Dalton, that will never happen! I know Meryl. As long as Iโ€™m here, she will never reconcile with you!

โ€œI want you to feel the pain Iโ€™m feeling right now. Dalton, you can only love me!โ€

Her words infuriated Dalton. If he werenโ€™t feeling so unwell, he would have jumped out of bed.

Seeing the murderous look in his eyes, Lydia suddenly cried out, โ€œHelp! Someoneโ€™s going to kill me!โ€

The commotion quickly drew attention from those nearby.

Morton and Charlotte, who hadnโ€™t gone far, returned immediately.

After understanding the situation, they rushed Lydia to the hospital, as it directly affected Daltonโ€™s future.

Returning to the hospital room, she sternly warned Dalton, โ€œDalton, donโ€™t even think about harming the child. As long as Iโ€™m alive, I wonโ€™t let you hurt the baby.

โ€œAre you stupid? You finally have a way to stay in this country with this child. If Lydiaโ€™s baby dies, what will you do? You really want to go abroad and never come back?โ€

Dalton stared blankly at the ceiling, looking utterly defeated, like a lost puppet.

He seemed indifferent to it all.

Morton couldnโ€™t help but scold him. โ€œYouโ€™re such a disappointment, letting a woman bring you down like this. How could I have a son like you!โ€

โ€œEnough, heโ€™s injured. Just let it go,โ€ Charlotte replied, also feeling that Dalton was being unreasonable.

She thought to herself, โ€œEven though marrying Lydia went against Daltonโ€™s wishes, itโ€™s truly pathetic that heโ€™s lost hope for the future because of a woman he can never be with again. Meryl has caused so much harm!โ€

Chandler drove Meryl home, and as soon as they stepped inside, Meryl turned and hugged Chandler tightly.

โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong? Did my being late earlier upset you?โ€
