Chapter 139: Sister Ye Ling

“Sorry, Brother Ye, I was impolite,” Zhuo Yanqing realized after her explanation that she shouldn’t have explained anything.
Ye Mo shook his head. “Don’t talk nonsense; hurry and take me to Ye Ling.”
Hua University wasn’t far from Zhuo Aiguo’s home, only a few minutes’ walk away. Although Zhuo Yanqing appeared calm while walking with Ye Mo, she was far from calm inside.
Almost everyone in Beijing knew Ye Mo. Even ordinary citizens had heard of him. Because he wasn’t of Ye Family blood, he was expelled and became the subject of ridicule for a time.
Zhuo Yanqing and her roommates often discussed him. Even when she didn’t initiate the conversation, her dorm mates frequently talked about it.
Each time, she wanted to laugh, but then she remembered she was looking for Ye Mo, a fact she could hardly believe. She almost thought she’d found the wrong person and subconsciously glanced at Ye Mo’s crotch.
Luckily, Ye Mo didn’t react, but she immediately felt it was inappropriate. This Ye Mo was nothing like the one in the stories.
The Ye Mo before her had clear eyes, a generous manner, and a relaxed demeanor. His features were well-defined. He was nothing like the stories portrayed him. With his medical skills, he was almost the perfect man—except he asked for too much money, which was the only similarity.
Coming from a wealthy family, Zhuo Yanqing immediately suspected family intrigue. The stories were likely fabricated to justify expelling Ye Mo from the Ye Family. This realization almost caused her to look at Ye Mo’s crotch again, but she resisted the urge.
It must have been family competition. Ye Mo was a scapegoat, sacrificed due to the infighting. It seemed all wealthy families were the same.
“Brother Ye, you haven’t eaten. Our school has a canteen. I’ll cook a few dishes; we can eat together?”
Ye Mo looked at the university entrance. He hadn’t eaten. Just as he was about to agree, a voice interrupted.
“Yangqing, I was just about to call you. Who is he?” The speaker, a tall, handsome man, eyed Ye Mo with suspicion, as if he were a threat.
Zhuo Yanqing looked awkwardly at Ye Mo and turned to Qin Xun. “What do you want?”
Qin Xun seemed to forget himself, staring in shock. Then, he reacted. “Yangqing, who is he?”
Zhuo Yanqing’s face flushed. “Qin Xun, who are you to me? Why should I report to you about my friend?”
“You’re my girlfriend,” Qin Xun blurted out, surprised by her tone.
“You… Qin Xun, when did I say I was your girlfriend? Where did you hear that?” Zhuo Yanqing was angry. Qin Xun had been pursuing her aggressively. She liked him, but she’d never agreed to be his girlfriend, though she’d considered it a possibility. His declaration enraged her.
Qin Xun hadn’t expected this reaction. She rarely refused his invitations for meals or walks. Now, she’d brought a man to school and spoke to him like this. He was very sensitive to this, and his face reddened.
Seeing Qin Xun’s angry reaction, Zhuo Yanqing lost all respect for him.
“Zhuo Yangqing, you… why didn’t you reject me when I asked you out? And…” Qin Xun’s words attracted the attention of other students.
Zhuo Yanqing’s face was flushed. She hadn’t expected Qin Xun to be so impetuous. With more and more students watching, she apologized to Ye Mo. “Brother Ye, wait a bit. I’ll deal with this.”
Without waiting for Ye Mo’s reply, she said to Qin Xun, “Qin Xun, come with me.”
Ye Mo smiled; he found that most students were preoccupied with such matters. He thought about his own age and lack of time for cultivation. Different pursuits led to different perspectives.
He didn't share their pursuits. In fact, he felt he might be the only one with his particular pursuit in the world. A feeling of loneliness washed over him.
Zhuo Yanqing looked back worriedly, relieved to see Ye Mo still waiting. But then she sensed an immense loneliness and boredom emanating from him, momentarily disorienting her.
Seeing Zhuo Yangqing looking back, Qin Xun’s face darkened.
Though Ye Mo was famous in Beijing, nobody recognized him at the university gate.
A woman in high heels walked from campus to a Porsche parked outside. A young man got out to open the door for her.
The moment she entered the car, Ye Mo recognized her.
“Ye Ling’s car service changed again. It’s good to be rich,” a voice commented beside Ye Mo. He immediately realized the girl was Ye Ling.
The Porsche drove off. Ye Mo followed without hesitation. Ten minutes later, it stopped at an entertainment center.
Ye Mo frowned. Why was Ye Ling there? Though he didn’t particularly like her, she was his blood relative, and he was uncomfortable seeing her in such a place. He felt she lacked self-respect.
He followed, but the entrance required a VIP card, which he didn’t have. Seeing Ye Ling disappear into the building, Ye Mo used invisibility to enter.
Ye Ling and two men went into room 409. Ye Mo didn’t enter, using his spirit sense to follow. Two men were already inside. Seeing Ye Ling, the man in the middle stubbed out his cigarette and smiled. “Ms. Ye is truly gorgeous.”
Ye Ling sat down, looking at the man. After a moment, she spoke. “What do you want?”
He lit another cigarette. “First, spend a night with me, and another with Brother Cheng. Second, there’s a jade necklace in your house…”
Before he finished, Ye Ling stood up. “Keep dreaming,” she said, turning to leave.
The man didn’t stop her. “You know the Ye Family wants your brothers dead. Do you think reporting this to your family will help? I, Gu Luo, am a man of my word. If not for me, Ye Mo would have been killed long ago. If you refuse, Ye Zifeng will be killed. Or perhaps not killed… but the consequences, I think you understand.”
“Bullsh*t. I’d rather die than agree,” Ye Ling said, her face grim.
Clap clap “Good, good. I like a little firecracker. Ye Mo, that bastard, killed people from the Song Family, so his little sister will pay under my crotch, haha.”
“Young Master Cheng, you’re here?” Gu Luo stood up, surprised by the newcomer.
“Song Shaocheng,” Ye Ling gasped, recognizing the man. She hadn’t expected Gu Luo to be connected to the Song Family.
Quickly recovering, Ye Ling glared at Gu Luo. “Gu Luo, you knew Ye Lu! How are you connected to the Song Family? You cheated me and Ye Lu!”
Gu Luo laughed. “Ye Lu? You overestimate him. He’s a lapdog. I’ve always worked for Young Master Cheng. Ye Lu knew that. Ye Mo, that useless trash, wasn’t worth killing. But he ran before I could make my move; otherwise, do you think he’d still be alive?”
