Chapter 16: You Are My Little Princess

Olive posted a link to North's livestream on her phone. The livestream quickly went viral; the assistant watched in excitement as viewership skyrocketed.

"North, Olive, you guys are amazing," the assistant said.

Olive took a sip of water. "Let's start the livestream," she told her assistant.

"Now? Shouldn't we wait a little longer?" the assistant asked.

"No need," North insisted. "We'll get even more viewers once we begin."

The assistant opened the curtain, revealing North and Olive on screen. A faint smile touched North's lips. "Olive, look at the gifts! OMG!" she exclaimed.

The livestream was flooded with virtual gifts. The comments were harsh:

"Olive, you still have the nerve to show yourself?" "Olive, now that President Augustine is with Pamela, have you received the divorce papers?" "North, why are you still hanging out with someone like Olive?" "Olive, leave Los Angeles ASAP!"

North patted Olive's shoulder. "Are you okay?"

Olive chuckled and winked playfully. "Don't worry, I'm fine."

In a nearby livestream, Gwen watched and chuckled softly. "Pamela, Olive is shameless; she's getting bashed by the audience!"

Pamela, still humiliated by Elvis, was in a foul mood. "Let's just watch her disgrace herself," she muttered.

Gwen giggled. "Pamela, we're getting tons of gifts!"

Pamela, a talented doctor from Los Angeles, watched as both livestreams gained momentum, while Olive continued to face online abuse. Pamela licked her lips. She hadn't won Elvis's heart, but she had won the public's attention.

Then, Olive replied to the comments with just two sentences: "Elvis, my love, is all mine! And mine alone!"

This bold response fueled further attacks:

"Olive, you're showing off your thick skin, right?" "Where's your confidence coming from? President Augustine is with Pamela, isn't he?" "Compared to the talented Pamela, who would choose a nobody from the countryside?"

Gwen reveled in the negative comments. "Pamela, Olive's reputation is ruined. We don't need to do anything else."

Pamela watched contentedly. She couldn't understand why Olive was considered her rival.

Suddenly, a lavish fireworks gift exploded on North's livestream, a costly present from a wealthy businessman. Gwen's face fell.

"Pamela, a rich sponsor just sent North a huge gift. Ours are nothing compared to that!"

Pamela was stunned. Their gifts paled in comparison to North's single, extravagant present. She looked closer at the screen. The donor's name was Elvis Augustine! He was watching North's livestream!

Then, Elvis commented: "Yes, Olive is mine. And I'm hers alone!"

Silence fell over the internet. Olive hadn't expected Elvis's participation; he rarely engaged in such things.

North winked at Olive. "Your man's here to support you."

Olive smiled sweetly and replied to Elvis's comment: "Mr. Augustine, they called me a waste, a bastard!"

The internet was silenced. No one dared to speak out against Olive or Elvis.

The number of viewers in North's livestream surpassed Gwen and Pamela's.

"It's okay, my princess. I'll spoil you tonight," Elvis commented.

The internet went wild. Elvis's devotion to Olive shocked everyone. Those who expected their divorce were left ashamed.

North smiled; she believed Elvis and Olive were a perfect match. Olive, however, hadn't forgotten Pamela's commendation. She sent a public message:

"Pamela, you owe me 1.2 million. Even though Mr. Augustine gave it to you, as his wife, I wasn't aware. Please repay me immediately."

The audience was shocked. Olive had publicly demanded the money Pamela received from Elvis.

Then, a notification appeared: A lawyer's letter from the Augustine Corporation threatened Pamela with legal action for extortion if she didn't repay the money.

The internet was awestruck. Olive's demand, followed instantly by the corporation's legal action, was a stunning turn of events.
