Chapter 1346

Roxanne and Estella waited on the beach. Lucian and the boys soon emerged from the car, their rainbow-colored T-shirts surprising Roxanne. Lucian, preferring plain clothes, had led her to expect monochrome outfits for the boys. She had no idea he would choose such vibrant attire. "When did you buy these clothes?" she asked as they approached.

Recalling Benny's earlier comment about her mood, Lucian paused before replying, "I bought them on the way. I'd planned to bring you here and thought it best to be prepared. Seems I made the right choice." His words only fueled her suspicion. She couldn't believe he'd even prepared clothes for them.

Observing Archie and Benny's delighted grins, she heard Archie exclaim, "Mommy, Mr. Farwell bought clothes for you too! You should get changed!" While changing, they discovered a stunning dress in the car, undoubtedly a surprise from Lucian.

Roxanne stared at Lucian, questioning his actions. He seemed slightly dismayed that the boys had spoiled his surprise, but simply nodded. "Go get changed. You don't want to catch a cold."

Roxanne hesitated. Lucian, arching a brow teasingly, added, "Don't worry, I won't peek. Take your time; I'll take the kids to play." He left without waiting for her reply, the eager children following.

Hesitating, Roxanne watched them go before making up her mind. In the car, she found an ocean-blue spaghetti-strap dress; the bodice ruffled, the waist cinched. Rarely did she wear such casual attire since having Archie and Benny, yet she had to admit it was her style. Six years ago, during her marriage to Lucian, she often wore similar dresses to the beach. It seemed he remembered her preferences, and his thoughtful gesture soothed the lingering pain of their divorce.

She was about to change when she realized her underwear was also wet. Looking at the exquisite dress, she worried about ruining it. Then, her phone buzzed. It was Lucian: "There's underwear in the trunk's box. I bought your usual brand, but I'm not sure if you'll like it."

Roxanne blushed. She'd never imagined Lucian buying her underwear, not six years ago, and certainly not after their engagement.
