Chapter 1392

Not daring to look at the woman on the bed again, Lucian went straight to the bathroom. After a cold shower, he struggled to suppress his intense desire. He decided to sleep on the couch. However, the moment he opened the bathroom door, a captivating Roxanne approached, wrapping her arms around his neck.

Lucian stopped abruptly and looked down at her. Her lips were still red and swollen from their earlier kiss. With half-closed eyes, she tiptoed closer.

"Roxanne?" he asked, his voice hoarse, the heat surging through him at the sight of her.

Ignoring him, she softly moaned and kissed him. His cold shower proved useless against her unexpected advance. He placed his hands on her slim waist and guided her to the bed. After laying her down, he restrained her wrists, forcing some distance between them.

"Did you have a dream?" he asked, that being the only explanation he could conjure. Though Roxanne had accepted him, her usual demeanor suggested she wasn't ready for intimacy, much less to initiate it.

A dazed look filled her eyes. She frowned slightly in confusion at his words, then squirmed, trying to get closer. Lucian's gaze was intense. His Adam's apple bobbed as he looked at her, but he finally clenched his jaw and turned away, fearing he would lose control. She was drunk; anything that happened now could be regretted later.

"Lucian..." she whined, her moist eyes fixed on him, unable to reach him.

He gulped at her voice, his hands instinctively loosening slightly. The next moment, she wriggled free, pressing herself against him, igniting his desire. His remaining rationality vanished. With heavy breaths, he succumbed to his passion.

Afterwards, Roxanne slept soundly. Lucian started to massage her waist, but she croaked, "No more...", reflexively raising a weak hand in defense even in her sleep. A fleeting dark look crossed his eyes, but he suppressed his urge, considering her feelings, and carried her to the bathroom. After showering himself, he cleaned her. She drifted off to a deep sleep in his arms after her own warm shower.

If not for the marks on her body, Lucian might have thought it all a dream. He carried her back to bed and carefully dressed her in pajamas. She remained asleep throughout. He hesitated before lying beside her. They had already gone this far, so there was no need for further anxieties. With that thought, he pulled her into his embrace and closed his eyes, content.
