Chapter 1527: Agrees to Move In

Lucian halted, hearing Roxanne's voice. He turned and approached the bed. His gaze darkened as he observed the drowsy woman, her shoulders exposed.

Roxanne mumbled sleepily, "What's wrong? You should shower and rest."

Lucian's breathing grew heavier as he watched her innocent demeanor, struggling to suppress his desire. If Roxanne were fully awake, she would surely notice something amiss and deftly avoid the situation. Yet, she remained oblivious, looking up at him, her bare neck revealed.

Roxanne sat beside him, drying his hair. A look of surprise crossed her face; his hair felt cool. A serene silence settled over them, broken only by the hair dryer's hum.

"It's done," Roxanne announced, reaching out to check if his hair was dry.

Lucian swiftly caught her hand, his touch burning her skin. Roxanne instinctively pulled back, switching off the hair dryer. She stood rooted, under his intense gaze. "You could have refused," he stated.

Roxanne frowned. She'd anticipated the consequences of agreeing to stay in his room, yet she had.
