Only then did Roxanne regain her senses. The sales attendant smiled. “I don’t think that’s necessary. You have the same figure as the mannequin. If you don’t mind, you can simply try on those clothes.”

Lucian turned to Roxanne, seeking her approval as if she were his wife. The sales attendant followed suit, respectfully awaiting Roxanne’s response.

Roxanne’s comprehension dawned seconds later. She smiled faintly and nodded. The sales attendant quickly fetched the clothes, enlisting another attendant to guide Lucian to the fitting room before leading Roxanne to browse. She expertly introduced the premium suits, noting the time Roxanne spent examining each.

Soon, Lucian emerged from the fitting room, looking dashing in a gray shirt and black suit. Before consulting a mirror, he approached Roxanne. “How does this look? Does it suit me?”

Roxanne, still browsing, turned at his voice. She was mesmerized. Years hadn't diminished Lucian's attractiveness; in fact, he seemed even more handsome.

“Is it not as good as you expected?” Lucian frowned, looking helpless. He turned to ask for different options.

Roxanne, snapping back to reality, smiled. “You look even more handsome than I imagined. The clothes suit you perfectly.”

“Sir, the suit fits you like a glove!” added the sales attendant.

Satisfied, Lucian nodded. “Please wrap this up. I’m going to try on the others.” He intended to try every suit.

“Are you going on a shopping spree?” Roxanne exclaimed, surprised. “Lucian’s closet is overflowing! Why is he buying so many?”

“Didn’t you want to see me in these? I’ll try them all,” he replied matter-of-factly.

Roxanne stared, speechless, overwhelmed with emotion.

The sales attendant presented more suits. “While browsing with your wife, she seemed interested in these.”

Roxanne, surprised, thought, Those few pieces did catch my eye, but I didn't say anything. How did she know?

The sales attendant smiled sweetly. “You spent more time looking at those.”

Before Roxanne could respond, Lucian interjected, “You’re a talented salesperson!” He nodded. “Please wrap all of these up.”

The two attendants, delighted with such a large purchase, concealed their excitement.

Roxanne felt troubled seeing the bags of clothes. Lucian noticed her expression. “What’s the matter? Don’t you like them?”

Roxanne shook her head, whispering awkwardly, “All these clothes are beyond my budget…”

Lucian raised a brow, then smiled. “These are mine. Why would you pay?”

Roxanne frowned. “I want to buy them for you, though…”
