Chapter 1632: She Is Not Your Wife

“Your grandson, Jack, used underhanded methods to render my wife unconscious. She remains unconscious,” Lucian replied coldly, his expression impassive.

Hector’s chest heaved, his breathing suddenly labored. He appeared on the verge of collapse. Lucian frowned, rising to pat Hector on the back and offer him a cup of warm water.

“I hesitated to tell you, but you insisted on this discussion. I had no choice.”

It took several minutes for Hector’s breathing to normalize. Disbelief filled his eyes as he accepted the water. “Is there a mistake? Jack would never do such a thing! This is impossible…”

“I wouldn’t be here if I weren’t certain,” Lucian replied.

Hector fell silent. Lucian’s certainty left no doubt in his mind: Jack was responsible.

The tense atmosphere in the back garden was shattered by a commotion at the mansion’s entrance. They turned to see Jack approaching.

“Hi, Grandpa. You wanted to see me?” Jack greeted Hector, then casually addressed Lucian. “Oh, what a surprise, Mr. Farwell.”

“Jack!” Lucian’s eyes darkened, his body radiating a palpable aura of menace.

“You sought me out, Mr. Farwell. How can I help you?”

Before Jack’s words fully registered, Lucian seized him by the collar. “Stop playing coy! What have you done to Roxanne? What the hell do you want?”

Jack raised an eyebrow, his gaze drifting to Lucian’s hands. “Are you sure you want to use that tone, Mr. Farwell?” He felt utterly unconcerned; he held complete control over Roxanne’s life and believed Lucian wouldn't dare act against him.

Lucian tightened his grip. “Funny you say that after what you’ve done to my wife! Help her regain consciousness, or you will pay dearly!”

Jack feigned terror for a moment, then chuckled mockingly. Grabbing Lucian’s wrist, he said, “Oh, please! She’s not your wife! I haven’t heard of you remarrying, so she’s merely an ex-wife at best!”

Jack’s expression hardened when Lucian refused to release him. “Also, I’d be more mindful of my tone if I were you. If you keep threatening me, I might forget how to wake her up. I’m the only one who knows how.”

Lucian’s eyes blazed with fury. If glares could kill, Jack would be dust. If I'd known this would happen, I would have kept Roxanne away from Jack after Colby's attack!

Despite his rage, Lucian released Jack, the image of Roxanne unconscious in the hospital bed overriding his anger.

Jack’s smugness intensified. “See? That wasn’t so hard, was it? Still, your attitude is unsatisfactory, Mr. Farwell. As for Ms. Jarvis—”
