“I really can’t do that, Roxanne. All the foreign brands will be launching new products during this period. If we don’t increase productivity, we’ll lose market share and waste all our effort. We’ve also opened many new affiliated stores; failure to distribute products will require compensation. Furthermore, our online channels demand a certain quantity of goods; otherwise, our online merchants won’t promote our products.”

Elektra’s barrage of reasons left Roxanne speechless. In the end, she agreed.

However, Jonathan, beyond buying Madilyn health supplements, showed little interest in the matter.

“Hahaha, he bought you health supplements?” Roxanne laughed heartily.

Madilyn rolled her eyes, frowning. “I didn’t bring this up, and I have no idea what’s going on in his head. His last checkup clearly showed his brain is functioning fine!”

Intrigued, Roxanne urged Madilyn to continue. Finally, Roxanne summarized, “I find Jonathan’s reaction interesting. He probably thinks you deserve the best—those are the most expensive supplements on the market! Hahaha…”

“Stop laughing!” Madilyn hissed, mortified by Roxanne’s laughter attracting other customers. “All right, let’s drop this and talk about something serious. How’s Jonathan’s gastritis?”

Roxanne changed the subject. “As a doctor, you know gastric illness takes time. That said, his condition has improved significantly; the inflammation is gone. Soon, he can stop my medication and recuperate using yours.”

Madilyn’s tone softened. Roxanne noticed she seemed to be hiding something. Madilyn was actually more worried about Jonathan’s depression. I wonder if he’s still suffering from insomnia and taking medication without my knowledge.

“Oh, by the way, I’ve investigated Coralie’s identity. She’s Shawn’s younger sister. Isn’t it strange that Jonathan’s sister, Frieda, is dating Shawn?”

“What?” Madilyn was stunned. Coralie, Shawn’s sister, was also the heiress of a wealthy family. A grim look crossed Madilyn’s face.
