Chapter 1891: Who Am I To You?

Seeing that she remained silent, Lucian remained silent as well. Finally, Elektra forced herself to stop crying, unwilling to let Lucian think she was seeking sympathy. Therefore, she confessed. "I should have known this would happen from the moment I came into contact with Christina. If I had chosen to expose the fact that Christina was actually Aubree and alerted Lucian, everything would be different. But it's all too late now. I don't understand why Lucian is here, in Christina's room. How did he find out? How did he change the situation? After all, I added harmful substances to all the products. I spent so much time and effort accomplishing that."

โ€œWhen did you find out about this? I really want to know. How did you do it? Did you recall the tainted products?โ€ Elektra knew it was over, but she wanted to understand her failure.

โ€œElektra, did you consider the consequences? Was Roxanne your target? You wanted to ruin her, right? Have you been planning this since the very beginning? Since you proposed this project?โ€ Lucian asked, instead of answering her questions.

His tone was so cold it was as if he were speaking to a stranger. By then, Elektra had given up hope, knowing Lucian's opinion of her was irredeemable. That's why she decided to admit to everything.

โ€œYes. I considered the consequences. My target is Roxanne! I wanted to destroy her. Lucian, I need an answer. Over all these years, who am I to you? Do you really not have the slightest feelings for me?โ€ she asked.

Lucian furrowed his brows, hostility etched on his face. He shot Elektra a cold, vicious glare, like countless deadly arrows piercing her heart. A bitter smile touched Elektra's lips.

โ€œElektra, I investigated what Aubree did in Hawen. Initially, I thought she would turn over a new leaf after becoming Christina. However, she remained determined to take revenge on Roxanne. So I had people watching her every move the second she crossed the border. I just didn't expect you to be her accomplice!โ€ Lucian ignored her questions; he no longer had the patience. "We were childhood sweethearts, our families close for decades. I even disregarded Jonathan and gave her the opportunity to collaborate with Roxanneโ€”Jonathan is more than capable! Yet, all this time, she plotted against my wife to send her to prison! No matter how close we were, it's over now that everything is exposed."

โ€œListen closely, Elektra. I'll make it clear. Since we were children, I've always considered you my little sister. I don't have siblings, so you and Jonathan were like brother and sister. You should know that! Yet you attempted to sabotage my wife! Did you not consider the future of my three children? Did you not think about your parents? What would they think?โ€ Lucian, his anger barely contained, spoke through gritted teeth.

This was likely the first time he'd expressed his emotions so explicitly and aggressively. He abruptly rose, walked to Elektra, his gaze burning with fury.
