Lucian smirked, "A basketball team? We could have enough for a football team!"
The physician chuckled, "With your genes, a few more wouldn't hurt."
"Easy for you to say," Roxanne retorted.
After the checkup, Lucian recounted his caregiving, receiving profuse praise, his face beaming with pride. In the car, he immediately started fussing over Roxanne. "Darling, watch your sugar intake; gestational diabetes is a risk. Take your folic acid, and soak your feet to prevent swelling."
