Chapter 2052: A Hundred Ways

A look of shock crossed Winnie's face as she rushed downstairs and saw the large crowd. She demanded loudly, "What do you think you're doing? I've called the police, so you'd better leave!"

"Winnie, do you think you have the right to call the police?" The bodyguards parted, allowing Roxanne to approach.

Winnie's expression faltered, her eyes widening in panic at the sight of Roxanne and Lucian. "What are you trying to do, Roxanne?" she asked guiltily, lowering her head to check her son Yosef's condition. He was grimacing in pain, drenched in a cold sweat, though Winnie saw no blood.

She dared not approach him, nor meet Roxanne's gaze.

"Winnie Chardon, you are truly shameless and ruthless! You tore apart my family, became a homewrecker, and drove my mother out! You and your children mistreated me. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. You plotted my mother's death! How could you be so heartless?"

As Roxanne approached, her desire for revenge intensified. A simple slap seemed insufficient. With a deft movement, unseen by the others, a silver needle appeared in her hand. She struck quickly, aiming for a nerve in Winnie's arm. Winnie cried out in agony, "Ahhh!"

The pain was excruciating. Her right arm felt broken; she couldn't exert any strength, and a throbbing headache began. Another needle appeared, targeting Winnie's left hand. Another ear-piercing scream escaped her lips, her arms hanging limp. Terror filled her eyes.

To Roxanne, however, Winnie's horror paled in comparison to her own past fearโ€”the constant dread of Winnie harming her and her children.

Lucian and the bodyguards were stunned by the effect of the two needles. Lucian knew his wife's medical skills could be used for harm as well as healing, but he hadn't anticipated such a dramatic result.

Winnie's body trembled. She tried to retreat, but Roxanne stabbed a third needle into her right knee, sending her sprawling onto the snowy courtyard. The snow cushioned her fall; otherwise, her head would have struck the stone.

"Would you like me to continue, Winnie? I have more than a hundred ways to seek revenge and make your life a living hell," Roxanne said, her voice cold and hard. She had once blamed Grant and partially blamed Winnie for her family's suffering. But now, this was revenge for her mother's murder. How could she maintain her composure?

Lucian sensed her emotional turmoil and rushed to her side, drawing her into his embrace. "Calm down, darling. Let's stick to our plan." He gently rested her hand on her belly. The sensation of her unborn children calmed her somewhat, though her gaze remained frosty as she looked at the motionless Winnie.

"Roxanne... I never did anything... Don't talk nonsense... It was Grant... He slandered me," Winnie gasped.

Neither Roxanne nor Lucian was surprised. Murder was a serious crime; no one would readily confess.
