Chapter 2066: A Big Gift

When Madilyn showed them the wedding dress, Roxanne felt a pang of envy. Elektra, likewise, was captivated. Estella, employing abundant velvet and smooth lines, had created a design reminiscent of a white swan taking flight, an angel descending. Madilyn, always graceful, appeared even more regal in the gown.

"It's exquisite," Roxanne praised sincerely. "Estella has truly outdone herself! My daughter is amazing!"

Madilyn playfully chided her to focus on the bride. Elektra, surprised to learn Estella designed the dress, was speechless for a moment. "This is a truly unique wedding dress, Ms. Xander. It's perfect!" she exclaimed.

Madilyn, heartened by the compliments, wore a sweet smile. She barely wanted to remove the dress. However, with time before the ceremony, she carefully took it off.

After lingering for a while, Jonathan urged everyone to rest, as the day would be busy. "Roxanne, go home and rest," he said. "I know you're overwhelmed, but I hope my wedding brings you some joy. Sleep well; I need you to do my hair in the morning!"

Madilyn's tone conveyed tender concern. Learning of the latest developments that morning had filled her with anger towards Winnie, but Jonathan had persuaded her to prioritize the wedding.

Roxanne hugged Madilyn before departing for the Farwell residence, where Lucian led her to her room. Knowing she might struggle to sleep, he gave her a hand massage. She slept from afternoon until the middle of the night, feeling Lucian's warmth and embrace. The children, cared for by their grandparents, remained quiet, occupied with homework and leisure activities.

Waking at three in the morning, Roxanne found Lucian washing up. She quickly prepared, determined to ensure a smooth wedding start. They drove directly to the bride's house, finding it brightly lit and bustling with activity. Henrietta, after assisting Lorraine, returned to the Queen residence to help with preparations, joined by Yennefer.

Lorraine greeted them warmly. "Finally! Roxanne, hurry! The bride awaits!"

Roxanne went upstairs to Madilyn's room. The traditional wedding customs commenced, with the hairstyling tools laid out. Roxanne's participation held special meaning, traditionally the mother of the bride's role, but Madilyn insisted on Roxanne.

As Roxanne meticulously styled Madilyn's hair, Madilyn exclaimed, "Roxanne, I'm so grateful for you."

"Nonsense," Roxanne said sincerely. "You're the most beautiful bride. Be happy." Pausing, she retrieved a document. "Oh, and I promised a big gift! Five percent of Flora Verba Group's shares. Effective immediately upon your signature!"

Madilyn was stunned by Roxanne's casual announcement. Five percent! With Flora Verba's valuation exceeding hundreds of billions, it was a five-billion-dollar gift. Roxanne's generosity was breathtaking.
