Chapter 2079: Experience the Pain

Winnie paled at Roxanne's words. "What nonsense are you speaking, Roxanne? When did I do such a thing? Don't spout baseless accusations!" she defended herself. Unbeknownst to her, she had already fallen into Roxanne's trap.

"You didn't? So you deny using Yosef in your scheme? I know you poisoned my mother with mercury, two or three times a month. The accumulated toxins killed her over a few years. I can't believe you used your young child for this! Were you not worried he'd ingest it?" Roxanne's rage was terrifying.

Winnie avoided eye contact, trembling. "How dare you defend yourself! A few days ago, I couldn't touch you. But now, I have the evidence to prove you used Yosef to poison my mother! The police are on their way." Despite her fury, Roxanne remained rational. Lucian, unbeknownst to Winnie, recorded the conversation. Yuliana was bewildered; she knew her mother had poisoned Roxanne's mother, but not the details. Yosef was equally stunned.

An abrupt silence followed before Winnie exploded. "So what if I did it? You don't have enough evidence! The water dispenser she used disappeared long ago! Yosef was too young to testify. Even if you examine her body, all you'll find is poisoning! You can't touch me! I'm not afraid of the police!" She couldn't bear Roxanne's arrogance. Following her confession, she smirked coldly.

Roxanne was stunned. She realized Winnie, unable to convince Grant to let her stay, had used Yosef to manipulate her mother. Grant, having lied about adopting Yosef, placed him elsewhere and then asked Roxanne's mother to care for him. Winnie then poisoned the water dispenser with mercury. Roxanne's mother, unknowingly poisoned each time Yosef gave her water, noticed the poison only after a few times. Yet, needing funds for her expensive treatment, she concealed the truth to avoid conflict with Grant.

Roxanne felt her heart shatter, tears flooding her eyes. "You're an animal! Since you've admitted it, you should understand why I came here before the police. I want to kill you myself!" She produced six silver needles and attacked.

Winnie felt only slight pain with each prick. But when all six needles were in place, she violently convulsed, feeling as though her blood would explode from her brain. An agonizing burning sensation consumed her; she felt her bones break. The pain was unbearable, shaking her very soul. This was the Cerulean Needle Technique's final move. Had Roxanne used all eight needles, Winnie would have died from the pain. But Roxanne used only six, wanting Winnie to experience the agony her mother endured.

Even after ten seconds, Winnie was screaming. Roxanne stared coldly. "Now you know the pain Mom lived with every day."

"Ahh! What did you do? Yosef, Yuliana, save me! It's so painful! My whole body… my blood… it's burning!" Winnie cried.
