Chapter 321: Leave

"This is a public space, and my children are right here. I'm not interested in you, so please leave me alone," Roxanne said coldly, staring emotionlessly at the man.

Despite being seated, her demeanor was imposing.

The man was stunned for a few seconds before recovering. Apprehensive but tempted, he stubbornly refused to leave. "Fine, I won't bother you here. But how about your phone number? We can chat privately."

Roxanne glared at him. "If you don't leave, I'll call the staff."

The man saw the nearest staff member was far away and tried to grab her phone.

A small hand snatched it first.

Roxanne looked at her child, surprised. "What are you doing?" she wondered.

"I'm calling Daddy! The pool has cameras. Daddy won't let you harass Mommy!" Archie earnestly searched her phone's contacts. Then, realizing his tactic, he fell silent.

The man remained stubbornly, unwilling to leave without achieving his goal.

Archie, tense and fierce, stared at the man. "My daddy's a CEO! He's very powerful! Just wait and see!" He subtly showed the man Lucian's contact information on the phone.

The man was shocked. He worked at a nearby gym hoping to meet wealthy women, and he'd researched prominent Horington families. He knew Lucian's power and reputation, and, though he assumed Lucian might have mistresses, he hadn't suspected Roxanne's connection. Seeing her demeanor and hearing Archie's claim, he panicked. I can't believe I messed with Lucian's woman!

Roxanne, hearing her son, glanced at him panic-stricken. Why did he use Lucian's name? Is it a coincidence? Is he just scaring him, or does he know about this man?

"Oh, so you're Mr. Farwell's woman," the man stammered. Recovering, he apologized. "I was a fool. I'm sorry, miss."

Roxanne, preoccupied with Archie's actions, nodded absently. "Please leave."

The man's expression changed drastically. "I'm going." He turned and left.

Roxanne remained focused on her thoughts, oblivious to his departure.

Archie, relieved after the man left, turned to return the phone, then feigned innocence upon seeing his mother's gaze. "What's wrong, Mommy?"

Roxanne stared intently at her son, unable to detect anything unusual. With a heavy heart, she took the phone. "Nothing. Go back to swimming. I'm fine."

Archie and Benny nodded and returned to the pool.
