Chapter 374: Is This Not Too Much?

Frieda was furious. She felt her brother and grandfather hadn't appreciated her efforts, and consequently, they forbade her from interfering in Queen Group's business. After Alfred and Jonathan went upstairs, she angrily plopped onto the couch and brooded for a long time, occasionally venting her frustrations on the servants. Unable to contain her frustration, she called Aubree.

"Aubree, where are you?"

Aubree, who was in the hospital with Sonya by her side, lowered her phone's volume. "I'm in the hospital. What's wrong?"

"Haven't you been discharged yet?" Frieda asked, concerned. She knew Aubree had been admitted after being injured while saving Sonya, but she hadn't realized the severity of Aubree's condition.

Aubree glanced at Sonya and said, "I wanted to be discharged; I feel better. But Mrs. Farwell is worried about me."

Sonya gave her a reproachful look. Aubree offered a coy smile.

"It's only right for Mrs. Farwell to be concerned, considering you were hurt saving her," Frieda said cheerfully. "Besides, you're her future daughter-in-law. Who else should she shower her affection on?"

Recalling her earlier frustrations, Frieda's expression turned gloomy. "I'll visit you later. Wait for me!"

Aubree grunted in agreement. After the call ended, Sonya offered Aubree a slice of orange.

"Mrs. Farwell, I've recovered," Aubree said, taking the orange. "You don't have to take care of me. It makes me uneasy."

Sonya gave her a disapproving look. "You're injured and need to recuperate. Why feel uneasy? You were hurt because of me. I'd feel terrible if I didn't take care of you!"

Aubree obediently ate the orange, her lips curling slightly. Sonya, pleased by Aubree's obedience, nodded. "After you marry into the Farwell family, we'll have plenty of time to care for each other."

Aubree's cheeks flushed, and she gave Sonya a shy look. "Mrs. Farwell, Lucian hasn't decided yet. Stop saying that."

"Lucian will listen to me," Sonya said solemnly. "Roxanne is being kicked out of Horington. Who else can Lucian marry but you?"

Aubree feigned ignorance. "Why would you say that?"

"I've warned all medicinal herb suppliers in Horington to stop supplying Roxanne," Sonya said coolly. "If she knows what's good for her, she'll stay away from Horington!"

Knowing Pearson Group was a major supplier, Aubree understood Sonya's seriousness. Despite her inner delight, she protested, "Mrs. Farwell, isn't this too much? If the research institute discovers that Roxanneโ€”"

"Don't pity her," Sonya interrupted, patting Aubree's shoulder. "She brought this on herself. How dare she return to Horington after what she did to us?"

Aubree smiled. "Who called?" Sonya asked.

"Frieda. She'll visit later," Aubree replied.

Sonya set down her things and stood. "You have a visitor. I won't disturb you."
