Chapter 575

Lucian's eyebrows furrowed as he glanced at the twins beside Roxanne. "We're going to stay with Mommy!" Both held her hands tightly.

Roxanne, having no other choice, allowed it. She then said to Lucian, "You can go ahead and take Estella home, Mr. Farwell. The kids and I will go back later."

Lucian noticed Estella tugging his shirt; clearly, she didn't want to leave either. However, Roxanne had already turned to leave with Archie and Benny.

"Ms. Jarvis..." Estella looked at Roxanne sadly.

Lucian's gaze darkened. He worried for all three, but knew Roxanne wouldn't want him and Estella to follow. He decided to take Estella to a nearby restaurant to wait.

Roxanne, meanwhile, brought Archie and Benny to a less crowded spot. She removed her shoes and sat on the sand. The refreshing sea breeze calmed her. Archie and Benny stayed beside her, sensing her mood and remaining quiet.

After a while, Roxanne calmed down. She stood and rubbed the boys' heads. "Let's go."

Relieved to see their mother better, they breathed sighs of relief, taking her hands to stand. Roxanne was about to pull them up when she felt a sharp pain under her foot.

She cried out as something scraped her foot. Archie and Benny were shocked. They quickly brushed sand from their clothes and helped her sit back down.

"What's wrong, Mommy?"

Roxanne endured the pain, looking at the spot. She saw a shell with traces of her blood on its sharp edge. Archie and Benny saw the bloodstained shell. "Mommy, you're hurt!"

Realizing she'd worried them, Roxanne forced a smile. "It's all right. Help me up." She tried to comfort them.

However, Archie and Benny refused. "You're hurt! How are you going to stand up?" Unsure what to do, they thought of Lucian.

Archie tugged his brother, whispering, "I'm going to find Daddy. Take care of Mommy." Benny nodded.

"Mommy, I'm going to get someone to help us!" Archie told Roxanne before running off. Roxanne worriedly tried to stop him, but he didn't turn back.

"Don't worry, Mommy. Archie won't get lost. We're very smart," Benny comforted her.

Since Archie was already far, Roxanne calmed herself and instructed Benny on simple disinfection. Meanwhile, Lucian stared in the direction Roxanne and the boys had gone, an uneasy feeling rising in his heart.

Suddenly, Estella tugged his shirt. "It's Archie!" She pointed toward the crowd.

Lucian saw Archie running toward the hotel. His gaze darkened. He picked up Estella and strode toward the boy. "Why are you alone? Where are Benny and your mother?"

Archie skidded to a stop, panting. He grabbed Lucian's clothes. "Mommy... Mommy's hurt! Hurry up and come with me, Mr. Farwell!"
