Chapter 603

When Lysa returned the flowers to the florist, the florist immediately recognized them. Even the accompanying card remained untouched.

โ€œHi, umโ€ฆโ€ Lysa began, offering an apologetic smile. โ€œPlease send these back to Farwell Group. Make sure Mr. Farwell receives them personally.โ€

The floristโ€™s eyes widened in surprise. The morningโ€™s customerโ€™s familiarity now made sense; he was not only handsome but also appeared wealthy. She hadn't expected him to be the CEO of Farwell Group. Even more surprising was the rejection of his own flowers. This led her to suspect a problem with her arrangement. โ€œIs there anything unsatisfactory about our flowers?โ€ she asked.

Lysa shook her head, smiling. โ€œNo, theyโ€™re perfectly fine. Weโ€™re just returning them for personal reasons.โ€ Without further explanation, she left the flowers and departed.

The florist, left with the rejected bouquet, found herself increasingly curious about the intended recipient. Mr. Farwell showered her with attention, yet she rejected his advances. What made this woman so special?

After considering the situation, the florist instructed her deliveryman to convey Lysaโ€™s message.

That afternoon, Cayden was about to leave for lunch when the receptionist called, โ€œMr. Lawson, a man is here delivering roses, insisting on personal delivery to Mr. Farwell.โ€ The receptionist, despite her experience, was uncertain how to proceed; this was unprecedented.

Slightly surprised, Cayden remembered Lucian inquiring about a florist the previous night. But why were the flowers being sent here? And why the insistence on personal delivery? โ€œPlease set them aside,โ€ he replied, regaining his composure. โ€œI'll take them to Mr. Farwell later.โ€

Despite Caydenโ€™s instructions, the deliveryman protested, โ€œBut our customer insists on personal delivery to Mr. Farwell.โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t worry,โ€ Cayden explained. โ€œIโ€™m his assistant. Iโ€™ll hand them to him personally.โ€

The deliveryman, after a brief hesitation, left the flowers with the receptionist.

Returning from lunch, Cayden knocked on Lucianโ€™s door, flowers in hand. Hearing Lucianโ€™s acknowledgement, he entered and said tactfully, โ€œMr. Farwell, these arrived this afternoon with instructions for personal delivery.โ€

Lucian, engrossed in his work, only looked up at Caydenโ€™s words. Upon seeing the roses, his expression changed dramatically. That woman! Not only had she rejected his flowers, but she'd sent them back!

โ€œMr. Farwell?โ€ Cayden froze, sensing the sudden tension.

Composing himself, Lucian replied coldly, โ€œLeave the flowers and go.โ€

Cayden acknowledged with a grunt, setting down the flowers before leaving. As he closed the door, curiosity gnawed at him. Who had sent the flowers, provoking such anger from Mr. Farwell? Roxanne's image suddenly came to mind. She was the only one capable of such a reaction, and Mr. Farwell would send roses to no one else. He wondered what they were fighting about. Whatever it was, subordinates like them would suffer the consequences.
