Chapter 777: Just Hug You For A While
Following Lucian's remark, a wave of irony washed over Roxanne. She placed a hand on his chest. "Thank you for the kind gesture, Mr. Farwell. But I'm afraid you'll never have that chance."
She pushed, attempting to break free from his embrace and stand. To her surprise, Lucian released her.
Roxanne breathed a sigh of relief. Just as she was about to stand, a hand grabbed her wrist, pulling her hard toward the couch.
"Ahh!" she exclaimed at Lucian's unexpected action. She landed on his lap. He steadied her, supporting her waist.
Roxanne stared at him, astonished. Despite her irritation, she said calmly, "Thank you for steadying me, Mr. Farwell. You may now let go."
She reached for a support to stand. Unexpectedly, Lucian hugged her tighter. All she could feel were his thighs and abs.
She groped for a handhold. Just as she was about to stand, a sensual moan escaped her.
"Stay still," Lucian murmured, his voice hoarse.
Roxanne's fingers instinctively tightened, causing his grip to tighten as well. Realizing where her hand was and recalling his earlier reaction, her face flushed crimson. She quickly withdrew her hand. "I didn't mean to do that!"
Lucian chuckled softly. "I wish you did."
Her blush deepened. Even her chest appeared faintly pink.
"Let go of me," Roxanne said, struggling after a moment. But his grip was too tight, and the proximity of the children's room prevented her from making much noise. Her struggles were weak, drawing her closer to him.
Lucian watched enigmatically as she struggled, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"Have you had enough? The kids are still sleeping! What if they see?" Roxanne was anxious and frustrated by her inability to escape.
Lucian glanced at the children's room. "She's still foolishly concerned about their opinion," he thought. "Little does she know, they've already betrayed her. If they saw this, they'd probably be happier than I am!"
Roxanne was searching for a solution when Lucian buried his head in her neck, chuckling softly. His warm breath sent a shiver down her spine.
Before she could process his laughter, she felt the hardness of his body beneath her, stiffening instantly. "Let go of me, Lucian..."
Tightening his arms, Lucian urged in a hoarse voice, "Stay still. I'll just hug you for a while." He thought, I've waited six years. Now that I have her, despite my efforts to restrain myself, my body reacts. And I don't want to hide my desire from her.
