Chapter 378

Eloiseโ€™s grip tightened even more. Fortunately, the principal only called out a few inconsequential names, not implicating the student council in the slightest.

โ€œYou lot have tarnished the name of our school! The decision has been made to expel you from this institution, with no chance of re-admission!โ€

Whether it was a performance for the benefit of the faculty or not, cheating on exams had been the norm in previous years. As long as students passed their exams, essays, and defenses, they would graduate without issue. But this year, the exam questions grew tougher, and the testing environment stricter.

Several students couldnโ€™t believe that after four years, they were being expelled just for smuggling in cheat sheets. Their emotions ran high. This made Eloise, sitting at the back, even more nervous.

Freya noticed this and couldnโ€™t help but ponder. Could it beโ€ฆEloise cheated? But the exams were all revised; how could Eloise have cheated?

โ€œEllieโ€ฆWhat are we going to do? Are we in trouble?โ€ One of the student council members realized the principal was serious this time, instantly becoming anxious. If they were discovered, who knew what kind of punishment theyโ€™d face? Those caught with cheat sheets were expelled; their fate would surely be no different if found out!

โ€œDonโ€™t overthink it; your name wasnโ€™t called, was it?โ€ Eloise frowned, knowing they couldnโ€™t afford to talk much in the exam hall. So, she pretended to be silent and started working on her paper.

Freya looked down at her test paper, an idea suddenly dawning on her. After making sure of her answers, she subtly altered her response to the last question.

After turning in her paper, Freya couldnโ€™t resist a quick glance at Eloise, who was sitting in the back row, making her feel suddenly guilty. โ€œElite, itโ€™s time to hand in your paper.โ€ Someone reminded Eloise. Eloise nodded and submitted her paper.

Todayโ€™s questions were as challenging as ever, leaving Eloise uncertain of her performance, surrounded by equally worried expressions. Why were this yearโ€™s questions so much harder? Was Summit University not concerned about their graduation rate anymore?

โ€œReya!โ€ Luna found Freya outside the exam hall, just in time to overhear someone mockingly say to Freya, โ€œSo well-connected that even a thorough check didnโ€™t reveal your backdoor entry. Quite the solid backing you have.โ€

โ€œWhat did you just say?โ€ Luna was ready to confront the slanderer physically. Freya held Luna back, then turned to the mocker, โ€œIf you can find any proof of me cheating, feel free to report me to the principal. If you canโ€™t, then stop spreading rumors. You knew about my connections; you should have been more polite to me.โ€

Freyaโ€™s presence silenced the opposition. They were left speechless.

โ€œSo arrogant! Itโ€™s all because of Mr. Sutton! Without him, sheโ€™s nothing!โ€ A few people grumbled resentfully but didnโ€™t dare to take any action against Freya. After all, they had witnessed Kieran clearing a new exam hall for Freya themselves.

After the crowd thinned out, Luna let off steam, saying, โ€œThese people have no talent of their own, so they just spread rumors!โ€ Freya comforted her, โ€œLet it go, Luna. I donโ€™t have the energy to stoop to their level.โ€
