The Amazing Son-in-Law: Chapters 601-605
Chapter 601
Hudson panicked at Charlie Wade's words, hurriedly pointing at Linda. "Mr. Wade, that's my second aunt. Last night, she told me she planned to swindle a woman out of her money. She wanted me to scare the old woman; that's why I agreed."
He continued, "Mr. Wade, I was used and taken advantage of!"
Linda cowered as Charlie Wade glanced at her. He beckoned her over. "You, come here."
Linda, afraid to disobey, approached trembling. "Mr. Wade, it's a misunderstanding! If I'd known Elaine Ma was your mother-in-law, I wouldn't have dared cheat her!"
She pointed at Hannah. "This woman, Hannah, tricked me! She said her sister-in-law was rich and ruthless, and wanted to get revenge, asking me to help cheat your mother-in-law out of her Thompson First villa."
Hannah, also frightened, stammered, "Charlie Wade, it's a misunderstanding! I didn't lie to your mother-in-law. Linda deceived me. She pretended to be bad at mahjong. I wanted your mother-in-law to win, but she lost so much to Linda"
Elaine Ma, furious, yelled, "Hannah Queen! You bitch! You tried to cheat me and Charlie Wade out of our villa?!"
Hannah, backing away, waved her hands. "No, no, nonsense! I wouldn't dare!"
Linda glared coldly at Hannah. "Denying it? I'll show Mr. Wade our chat history!" She retrieved her phone, opened her messages, and played a voice note for Charlie Wade.
Hannah's voice: "Sister Linda! Back in Aurouss Hill?"
Linda's voice: "Yes, two days ago."
Hannah: "Sister Linda, you were a croupier in Macau. You're skilled at gambling, right?"
Linda: "I wouldn't say that. Top five in Macau, maybe, but unbeatable in Aurouss Hill."
Hannah: "Amazing! I have a way for you to make a fortune. My sister-in-law is rich. She has a Thompson First villa, worth over one hundred million. She's addicted to gambling. Should I call her over for a scam?"
Linda: "A villa worth over one hundred million? Really?"
Hannah: "Yes!"
Linda: "Okay, but I want sixty percent!"
Hannah: "Deal! Sixty-forty split!"
Hannah trembled as the voice note ended. "Charlie Wade, I didn't mean to! I'm still your aunt, family"
Charlie Wade said, "I'll deal with you later," and had one of Albert's men take her aside.
Turning to Linda, he smiled. "I hear you're very good at cheating at gambling?"
Linda stammered, "Mr. Wade, I only know a few tricks"
Charlie Wade nodded. "Tell me how you cheated at mahjong today."
Linda explained, "I can customize the automatic mahjong machine. I can preset the tiles on my computer and activate it on my phone. The machine follows my settings. I controlled the tiles, giving your mother-in-law a near-winning hand, but intentionally giving another player the winning tile. Hannah and Gianna were in on it."
Charlie Wade nodded. "How many people have you cheated this way?"
Linda said, "Not many I don't usually do this."
Charlie Wade frowned. "How many gamblers did you cheat in Macau? How many went bankrupt, sold their children, or killed themselves because of you?"
Chapter 602
Linda sweated profusely. Over the years, she'd committed many evil acts, ruining countless lives. She saw gambling as a means to earn a living; she never cared about her victims. She felt no guilt.
Charlie Wade saw through her. He considered such people cruel vampires, living off others' blood, unconcerned with their suffering. He felt no sympathy.
He looked at Linda playfully. "Let's play a few games."
Linda was stunned. "Mr. Wade, what game?"
Charlie Wade: "I don't gamble. Rock-paper-scissors. Ten million dollars a game."
Linda was nervous. "Mr. Wade, I dare not"
Charlie Wade: "You will."
Linda: "Okay, Mr. Wade" "Now?"
Charlie Wade smiled. "Not yet. I need to prepare to cheat."
Linda was surprised. "Cheat? At rock-paper-scissors?"
Charlie Wade smiled. "Just like you planned to cheat my mother-in-law, I'll win all your money."
Before Linda could react, Charlie Wade grabbed her hands, breaking all ten fingers.
"Paper is the default. Rock needs a fist; scissors needs a V. Understand?"
Linda cried out. "Mr. Wade, my fingers are broken!"
Charlie Wade: "My problem? You left your victims with no chance of winning. I'll give you a taste of your own medicine!"
Chapter 603
Linda was devastated. Charlie Wade's ruthlessness shocked her. He'd broken her fingers and forced her to play rock-paper-scissors, forcing her to always show "paper."
Charlie Wade said, "Let's begin." He played rock-paper-scissors, winning ten rounds, accumulating one hundred million dollars.
"Settle the bill."
Linda's face contorted. "Master Wade, I don't have that much money"
Charlie Wade: "Call your family. If you're short even a penny, I'll send you and your family members over eighteen to work in a black coal mine to repay your debt, with a monthly salary of two thousand dollars per person."
He turned to Albert. "Know anyone who owns coal mines?"
Albert: "Yes, in Erith."
Charlie Wade: "Tell me honestly, how many immediate family members does your aunt have?"
Hudson: "Husband, son, daughter. Her son's wife's family runs an underground casino. Her daughter's husband offers microloans to students. Several students committed suicide."
Charlie Wade messaged Isaac: "Find Linda Howard's family. Bring her husband, son, daughter, and their spouses to Thompson First C11 villa."
Chapter 604
Linda wailed. "Master Wade, forgive me! I have twenty-one million. I'll give you all of it! Spare my children!"
She showed him her account.
Charlie Wade: "Donate it to the Hope Foundation!"
She donated the money.
Charlie Wade: "You still owe me seventy-nine million."
Linda: "That's all I have"
Charlie Wade: "Coal mine. Two thousand dollars a month."
Chapter 605
Charlie Wade ordered Albert's men to bring Hannah.
Hannah pleaded, "Charlie Wade, I'm your aunt. For the Wilson family, please forgive me!"
Charlie Wade chuckled. "Nonsense. How much money do you have?"
Hannah: "I don't have any money"
Charlie Wade: "I'll give you one chance. Don't lie."
Hannah: "Five million"
Charlie Wade: "Show me."
Hannah showed him her phone, revealing fifteen million. She'd planned to buy a house with the money.
Charlie Wade: "You lied. Donate it or Albert throws you in the ocean!"
Hannah donated the money.
Charlie Wade: "I spared your life, but not your freedom."
