Christopher trembled with anger at Jacob Wilson's deliberate sarcasm. Christopher demanded, "Elaine Ma! Have you seen Hannah?"

"I told you, no! You're irritating! Hannah eloped with her boyfriend, taking your money! Believe it or not!"

"Proof?"

"She disappeared with the money! What proof do you want? Go find it yourself! Why are you here?"

Christopher's heart pounded. Lady Wilson said coldly, "Enough. Let's go home. Stop embarrassing yourself."

Christopher glared at Elaine Ma. "Vixen, you wait! I'll be back!"

Elaine Ma spat. "Come on, bankrupt loser! You'll starve to death soon!" She slammed the door.

Christopher, fearing another beating from Charlie Wade, left dejectedly with Lady Wilson. At the gate, Lady Wilson warned, "Three days—find Hannah or bring the money. Otherwise, don't come home!" She left angrily.

Devastated, Christopher knew finding Hannah was like searching for a needle in a haystack. He'd start with her family.

After Christopher left, Elaine Ma's mood improved slightly. Jacob Wilson, believing Hannah's escape story, chuckled, "Haha! Chris never saw this coming! Hilarious!"

"Why do you look down on me?"

"I do, so what? You want money? No!" She stormed into her room.

Jacob Wilson was confused. Why wouldn't she give him the money? It was partially his!

Charlie Wade stopped him. "Dad, if Mom doesn't want to give you money, it's useless."

Jacob Wilson huffed, "I told them about the get-together! I only have a little over a thousand!" He added, "The president said I have a good chance of being appointed—it depends on my performance!"

Charlie Wade sighed, knowing his father-in-law's poor judgment in antiques. He'd been scammed countless times. Zachary, his only successful source of antique profits, was avoiding him.

Jacob Wilson was only in the association to fill a quota, but Charlie Wade said, "Dad, I'll transfer you twenty thousand."

Jacob Wilson was delighted. "My son-in-law, you're the best! Thank you!"

Charlie Wade transferred the money. "Claire's coming home soon. I'll start dinner."

Sean asked if they were like Don Albertt. Donald confirmed but said the Lloyd family was far weaker. Cain Lloyd hated Don Albertt because Don Albertt carved "pathetic jerk" onto Cain's son's forehead.
