The Amazing Son-in-Law: Chapters 626-630

Chapter 626

Before their car fully stopped, Sean saw a middle-aged man hurrying toward them. The man respectfully saluted both father and son. Donald nodded and introduced Sean to Cain Lloyd.

Sean was surprised. Cain, having rushed to open the car door, greeted them with a smile: "Cain Lloyd at your service, Mr. Webb and young master Webb."

Donald replied, "You're early."

Cain explained, "I wouldn't have dreamed you'd invite me to your banquet. I was afraid of being late."

Cain had never expected to visit The Heaven Springs. Albert, a cruel man, had forced his son to report there every Friday, checking a scarโ€”the words "pathetic jerk"โ€”carved into his son's forehead. He threatened to recarve it deeper if it faded. This humiliation fueled Cain's hatred of Albert and his refusal to enter Albert's territory.

This invitation from Donald, of the prestigious Webb family, was unexpected. The prospect of connecting with the Webbs, the most influential family in the South Region, thrilled Cain. He saw this as his chance for revenge on Albert.

Donald nodded, approving Cain's attitude: "Good attitude. Keep it up."

Thrilled, Cain bowed, expressing his lifelong admiration for the Webb family and his desire to serve them. Donald, while impressed, intended to test him, offering him temporary errands in Aurouss Hill. Cain eagerly accepted, vowing to be his slave.

Donald suggested they enter. Cain, though momentarily flashing hatred toward the mentioned "Don Albert," quickly composed himself and gestured for Donald to proceed.

Chapter 627

Donald was pleased with Cain's attitude. Albert had prepared the banquet at The Heaven Springs, where other guests already waited. Albert, Graham, and Zeke, while respectful to the Webbs, wouldn't flatter them; they'd follow Charlie Wade's instructions.

Other family heads sought to curry favor with the Webb family, seeing them as a powerful opportunity.

Upon Donald and Sean's arrival, the other family heads rose to greet them, showering them with flattery. Zeke, Graham, and Albert, however, remained calm and composed, offering polite but not effusive praise. Donald secretly resented this.

Cain, shadowing Donald, glared at Albert, blaming him for his son Marcus's humiliation. Marcus had become a laughingstock in Aurouss Hill because of the "pathetic jerk" scar. Cain's attempts to silence the mockery had only led to further violence. His rage at Albert simmered.

Albert, unaware of Cain's presence, touched his forehead, infuriating Cain. Cain's anger was constrained by Albert's power and his own probationary status with the Webbs. He vowed to endure this humiliation to ultimately exact his revenge.

Chapter 628

Albert, as host, invited Donald to the head seat. Cain quickly secured the seat beside him. The guests continued praising Donald. Donald explained that he wanted to get to know them, needing their help in Aurouss Hill.

Cain was the first to pledge his loyalty. Donald approved, promising future rewards for good work. The Zimmerman and Kline family heads quickly followed suit. Zeke, Graham, and Albert remained silent. They wouldn't pledge allegiance to anyone but Charlie Wade.

Donald, noticing their silence, asked if they refused to work for him. Zeke and Graham stated their prior loyalty to another. Albert declared his loyalty was paramount, and he wouldn't betray his current allegiance. Donald frowned, puzzled by their unwavering loyalty.

Cain angrily berated them for their lack of deference. Donald stopped him, stating he wouldn't force anyone. He asked for their help in two matters.

Chapter 629

Donald's first request was help in finding the person who harmed his son. He offered a $100 million reward. Cain immediately volunteered. The Zimmerman and Kline family heads followed suit. Zeke, Graham, and Albert remained silent, offering to help but not pledging allegiance.

Donald's second request concerned Jasmine Moore. He didn't want to target the Moore family, but wanted to know the identity of Jasmine's lover, offering another reward for this information. Zeke and the others exchanged glances, knowing the answer was likely Charlie Wade, but unable to say so.

Cain asked if he should kill the man once found. Donald only needed his help finding the man. Donald concluded the requests and proposed a toast.

Chapter 630

Cain inquired about Donald's son Kian, prompting a frown from Donald. Cain suggested seeking help from Dr. Anthony Simmons, a renowned doctor in Aurouss Hill, rumored to have exceptional skills. Donald was surprised to hear of Simmons's presence in Aurouss Hill and the miracle cures he performed. Cain detailed Simmons's location and reputation, piquing Donald's interest in seeking his help for Kian.
