The Amazing Son-in-Law: Chapters 696-700
Chapter 696
Jacob Wilson gritted his teeth in anger. He knew Samuel Yount was vicious but had remained silent. Just as Jacob felt speechless and uncomfortable, Don Albertt's car arrived at Heaven Springs. He immediately asked the hotel manager:
“Is there a reservation for Jacob Wilson today?”
“Yes, Bronze Box No. 3.” The manager, meticulously recording daily guests, knew of all box reservations.
Don Albertt nodded. “Let's go to Bronze Box No. 3!”
Earlier, Master Wade had instructed Don Albertt to look after his father-in-law's dinner. Don Albertt considered a small bronze box insufficient; his father-in-law deserved the diamond box.
Arriving at Bronze Box No. 3, Don Albertt found it empty. He asked a waitress, “Where is Mr. Wilson?”
“Fifth Lord,” the waitress replied, “Mr. Wilson was here but was invited to the Golden Box No. 2 by other guests.”
Don Albertt immediately told the hotel manager, “Come with me!”
In the Golden Box, Samuel Yount sneered at Jacob Wilson:
“Jacob Wilson, you're not qualified for the Calligraphy and Painting Association. Why are you vying for executive director?”
Jacob Wilson retorted coldly, “You're unqualified. I bought an item for thousands on Antique Street and sold it for hundreds of thousands.”
Samuel Yount scoffed, “You're boasting. Who would believe you?”
Jacob Wilson snorted, “Ask Zachary on Antique Street; he bought it from me.”
Samuel Yount frowned. “Zachary? That notorious profiteer? He wouldn't spend hundreds of thousands on your things! I don't believe it!”
Jacob Wilson said dismissively, “Ask him tomorrow.”
“I won't waste my breath,” Samuel Yount said. “Who do you think you are, eating with us? Pour everyone's wine! If you can't do it, get out!”
Jacob Wilson, trembling with rage, was about to respond when a voice boomed, “Who dares to speak to Mr. Wilson like that? Are you tired of living?”
Chapter 697
Everyone turned to see Don Albertt entering with the hotel manager. Recognizing Don Albertt, Samuel Yount hastily approached, saying respectfully, “Don Albertt, why are you here…?”
Don Albertt coldly asked, “You called Mr. Wilson ‘old man,’ did you?”
Samuel Yount was stunned. Don Albertt knew Jacob Wilson? He stammered, “Don Albertt, it’s a misunderstanding. We’re both members of the Calligraphy and Painting Association; we often joke around.”
Don Albertt frowned, then respectfully greeted Jacob Wilson, “Mr. Wilson, I didn’t expect you here. My apologies!”
Everyone was shocked. Samuel Yount was drenched in cold sweat, disbelieving his eyes. The Aurouss Hilll underground emperor, Hong Fifth, was deferential to Jacob Wilson?
Even Jacob Wilson was surprised. “Do you know me?”
Don Albertt explained humbly, “At the Glorious Club, when Master Wade ordered me to deal with Aaron Phillips and his son-in-law, I saw you.”
Jacob Wilson asked, “The Master Wade you mentioned… is he my son-in-law, Charlie Wade?”
Don Albertt solemnly confirmed, “Yes, Master Charlie Wade.”
Jacob Wilson finally understood. Don Albertt's respect stemmed from his son-in-law. He realized the advantages of having such a powerful son-in-law.
Don Albertt then asked, “Mr. Wilson, that man insulted you. Shall I teach him a lesson?”
Samuel Yount, pale with fright, pleaded, “Jacob Wilson, we’re members of the same association… brothers! Help me out!”
“Help you?” Jacob Wilson sneered. “You said I’m just an old nobody. How can I help you?”
Samuel Yount cried, “Brother, don’t be angry! I was just joking!”
Jacob Wilson declared, “Don’t call me brother. We’re done!”
Samuel Yount regretted his actions, realizing Don Albertt’s power.
Chapter 698
Don Albertt pointed at Samuel Yount and yelled to his men, “Take him out and beat him! Especially his mouth!”
Samuel Yount, terrified, knelt before Don Albertt. “Orvel, I’m sorry! I didn’t know Mr. Wilson was your guest! Forgive me!”
He couldn’t believe Jacob Wilson’s son-in-law held such power.
Before Samuel Yount could beg further, Don Albertt’s bodyguards began to beat him.
Don Albertt coldly asked, “Why were you targeting Mr. Wilson?”
Samuel Yount, bloodied and crying, explained, “I was competing with him for the standing director position…”
Don Albertt ignored him and asked, “Who heads the Calligraphy and Painting Association?”
Chairman Price responded, “I am.”
Don Albertt pointed at Samuel Yount. “This trash is in your association? How did you become president? Resign!”
Terror-stricken, Chairman Price blurted, “I resign tomorrow! Jacob Wilson will be the president!”
Jacob Wilson protested, “I’m not qualified for president. I’m content with being a standing director.”
Chairman Price insisted, “Since Don Albertt thinks you can, you must be able to!”
Don Albertt instructed Price, “Mr. Wilson is highly knowledgeable in antiques and calligraphy. Since he’s humble, make him a standing director.”
Chairman Price readily agreed. “I will remove Samuel Yount permanently and appoint Jacob Wilson as a standing director!”
Samuel Yount’s heart sank. He hadn’t earned his position through merit but through bribery. He realized his actions had cost him everything.
Don Albertt then declared, “I’ll find you a place befitting your ‘identity’,” before ordering, “Take him away and put him in the dirtiest pig farm to live with the sows for a week. He’ll eat and sleep with them.”
Chapter 699
Samuel Yount’s face drained. To live with sows and eat pig food was unbearable.
He begged for mercy. Don Albertt sneered, “Can’t stand it? Two weeks!” He added another week when Samuel cried.
Jacob Wilson intervened, “Don’t send him to the pig farm; it’s too dirty.”
Don Albertt agreed, then excitedly suggested, “I have a kennel with expensive fighting dogs. We can feed him to them; it’s cleaner.”
Samuel Yount, terrified, wet his pants. He chose the pig farm.
Don Albertt nodded. “Take him to the dirtiest pig farm!” His men dragged away the beaten Samuel Yount.
Chairman Price and the others were shocked by Samuel Yount’s fate, realizing that his actions had led to his downfall.
Don Albertt then respectfully said to Jacob Wilson, “Mr. Wilson, that man urinated here. Please dine in the Diamond Box at Heaven Springs, compliments of the house.”
Chairman Price and the others were astounded. The underground emperor was not only respectful but was offering Jacob Wilson the most luxurious box in Heaven Springs, usually reserved for only a select few.
Chapter 700
Jacob Wilson hesitated. “Is this appropriate?”
Don Albertt stated firmly, “Mr. Wilson, you are Master Wade’s father-in-law. The Diamond Box is the most appropriate place.”
Jacob Wilson accepted. Chairman Price and the others realized Jacob Wilson’s elevated status.
Don Albertt personally led them to the Diamond Box. Everyone showed Jacob Wilson the utmost respect.
Jacob Wilson felt immensely pleased. His son-in-law, Charlie Wade, had indeed given him great face.
Meanwhile, Mr. Lloyd and his son, Marcus, along with five Webb family bodyguards, arrived at Heaven Springs. Mr. Lloyd was consumed with cold fury. His son's forehead carried the scars of Don Albertt's humiliation, and he planned to take revenge. He sent Marcus in advance to scout Don Albertt's location and security.
Mr. Lloyd told Marcus, "Son, you’ll go in and observe Don Albertt's location and security. Be careful!"
Marcus nodded. Mr. Lloyd vowed to avenge his son, killing Don Albertt and then, in cooperation with the Webbs, killing Charlie Wade.
Marcus asked about the scar on his forehead. Mr. Lloyd promised cosmetic surgery after their revenge.
