Chapter 721

Mr. Jones fell silent as Don Albertt approached the third volunteer. He asked Charlie Wade, "Master Wade, what should be engraved on this man's head?"

Charlie Wade replied, "Sean is gay."

Don Albertt nodded, and with a sweep of his hand, the words were carved onto the man's forehead. The process was repeated for the fourth volunteer.

Don Albertt said to Charlie Wade, "Master Wade, this time it's seven words."

"Then engrave, 'Donald is incompetent'," Charlie Wade said after a moment's thought.

Don Albertt chuckled. "Master Wade, shouldn't it be 'Donald is sexually incompetent'?"

Charlie Wade waved his hand. "Sex is a sensitive word. We can't use it indiscriminately. It would embarrass any women present."

Don Albertt finished the inscription. Only Mr. Jones remained.

Seeing the blood on his companions' faces, Mr. Jones trembled. He was arrogant, accustomed to power, and the weight of that delusion now crushed him. He dared not speak; he feared Charlie Wade would order Don Albertt to engrave an even worse insult. The mere thought terrified him.

His only wish was to avoid a vulgar inscription. Ironically, Charlie Wade relished vulgarity.

Don Albertt, holding a bloody knife, pointed to the pale Mr. Jones. "Master Wade, what shall I carve on this man?"

Charlie Wade mused, "Eight characters: 'Casual, approachable, and grounded.'" He added, "And, 'I'll shit for Sean to eat.'"

Mr. Jones felt mortified.

Don Albertt questioned, "Master Wade, shouldn't it be Kian, not Sean, who eats shit?"

Charlie Wade dismissed the concern. "It's the same. He'll show it to Donald and Sean anyway. Sean works."

"Understood!" Don Albertt nodded. "I'll make it bigger and deeper!"

Mr. Jones pleaded, "Don Albertt! Please, one thing?"

Don Albertt snapped, "Enough nonsense!"

"Please change the knife," Mr. Jones cried. "It's been used on five men without sterilization. There's a risk of infection—AIDS, for example…"

His words sent a chill through the others. One man blurted out, "Are you all AIDS-free?!"

The other three shook their heads.

Chapter 722

No one knew for certain if they were truly free of AIDS. Don Albertt, annoyed, slapped Mr. Jones and cursed, "More of your bullshit, and I'll add 'Servant to the King of Teng'!"

The blow sent sparks before Mr. Jones' eyes. He endured the searing pain of the knife cutting into his skull, the blood streaming down his face blinding him. Regret gnawed at him; he knew no amount of money could undo his actions.

Donald's five bodyguards were now living, walking inscriptions. Mr. Jones, in particular, had the eight characters carved across his face, the insults to the Webb family glaring.

Mr. Jones cried, "Master Wade, please let us go?"

Charlie Wade said, "I can, but to prevent further trouble, you'll receive a lesson!"

He swiftly broke both arms of the man before him, repeating the action until all five lay broken. Their careers as bodyguards and thugs were over.

They were broken men, their suffering exceeding even death. Charlie Wade's methods were brutal and unprecedented.

Satisfied, Charlie Wade stated, "Tell Donald and Sean that if they target me again, they will face the full wrath of the Webb family!"

The five men hobbled away.

Don Albertt asked, "Master Wade, what about Mr. Lloyd and Marcus's video? Upload it to Facebook now?"

Charlie Wade smiled, "No, let them run awhile. If the Webb family sees it immediately, they might be dead before morning. Let them live a bit longer. The Webb family will be the laughingstock of the nation, consumed by humiliation and rage— far more interesting."

Don Albertt agreed. "I understand, Master Wade."

He asked, "What about Donald and Sean?"

Charlie Wade surmised, "They'll likely flee to Eastcliff. We must stop them from returning."

Don Albertt exclaimed, "Master Wade, we can't let the tiger return to the mountain!"

Charlie Wade smiled. "Let them return. It'll bring out more tigers. We can eliminate them all at once." He added, "A family should be dealt with efficiently."

Chapter 723

Jacob Wilson, witnessing his son-in-law's ruthless efficiency, was astonished. He couldn't reconcile this powerful man with the Charlie Wade he knew.

Charlie Wade approached him. "Dad, are you alright?"

Jacob Wilson shook his head. "I'm fine. Thank goodness you arrived. Otherwise…"

Charlie Wade smiled. "I've handled them. Satisfied?"

"Completely," Jacob Wilson nodded, then worriedly added, "Charlie, wasn't that a bit…cruel? The Webb family…won't they seek revenge?"

Charlie Wade said, "With the Webb family, you can't be afraid of revenge. If they're going to kill you anyway, you might as well fight back."

Jacob Wilson stammered, "Yes, but…we're not wealthy enough to withstand their wrath."

Charlie Wade reassured him, "Dad, don't worry. I'll protect Claire, you, and Mom."

Jacob Wilson nodded.

Charlie Wade continued, "We mustn't tell Claire or Mom about this."

Jacob Wilson agreed, knowing Elaine's reaction would be explosive.

Charlie Wade's only concern was his father's potential indiscretion. However, Jacob seemed sufficiently terrified to maintain silence.

Charlie Wade instructed Don Albertt, "Assign more men to protect my family discreetly."

Don Albertt agreed.

Charlie Wade said, "Let's go home, Dad."

Chapter 724

While Charlie Wade took Jacob home, Mr. Lloyd and Marcus frantically gathered valuables, preparing to flee to Malaysia. Marcus's mother was bewildered.

Mr. Lloyd urged, "We're in deep trouble! We need to leave tonight, or we'll be killed!"

"Where are we going?" she asked, terrified.

"Malaysia!" Mr. Lloyd insisted. "To my brother. Never return to China!"

His wife was distraught, worried about her family. Mr. Lloyd cut her off, "Don't you want to live? We need to leave, right now!"

Chapter 725

Marcus's mother frantically packed. Mr. Lloyd checked for the video. Marcus assured him Charlie Wade hadn't uploaded it yet. They planned to leave in half an hour, converting assets into US dollars before fleeing.

Meanwhile, the five dismembered bodyguards struggled to reach Shangri-La. Finding taxis proved difficult, drivers unwilling to carry them. After considerable difficulty and a hefty bribe, they reached their destination. Their appearance was horrific; blood, wounds, and crude inscriptions adorned their bodies. They attracted unwanted attention, and were mocked by passersby, some filming them for social media.

Mr. Jones, furious at their filming, shouted, but his attempts to cover his face were futile. He swore at the onlookers and shoved the driver after he’d refused to pay without assistance from the driver in opening the car door. Then he ordered his men to beat the driver.

The passage ends without resolution of the events at the Shangri-La.
