The call was answered promptly. Elaine Ma quickly said, "Hey there, is this Kevin? Hi, I'm Claire Wilson's mother"

He was annoyed that her mother would call him when he was supposed to be seeing Claire Wilson. He suspected Elaine Ma was in trouble and, of course, wouldn't miss the chance to charm her. Therefore, he adopted a concerned tone and said, "Auntie, are you in trouble?"

"Well, I need your help," Elaine Ma said hurriedly. "Kevin, some friends and I invested all our money in a plan from an insurer called Axel, and the company isn't paying our returns or refunding our money! Can you help me get our money back?"

Kevin was delighted, seeing this as an opportunity to prove himself. Confidently, he said, "Auntie, don't worry, I'll come see you today! I'll help you solve this problem!"

Elaine Ma was overjoyed. "Oh my goodness! Thank you so much!"

After hanging up, she glared at Charlie Wade with great disappointment. "Some people are utterly useless! We can't rely on him. What else can he do besides chant?"

She'd asked Kevin for help, huh? They must have a connection for him to be so readily willing to help them recover such a large sum of money. How could Kevin help these ruthless scammers get their money back?

Someone exclaimed in surprise, "Wow, Mr. White? Elaine Ma, you're amazing to have found such a powerful man!"

"Yes! Mr. White must have significant connections. This should be easy for him, right?"

"Elaine Ma, since you know such a capable young man, why don't you marry your daughter to him? Why this loser instead!"

Elaine Ma glared at Charlie Wade disdainfully and said coldly, "This loser will be disowned by our family soon!"

Charlie Wade remained silent, waiting for Kevin to arrive and see how badly things would turn out. Soon, a black Porsche pulled up. A handsome young man in a suit stepped out—Kevin White.
