Chapter 2050

Hashimoto Konzen's attitude had subtly shifted from the previous day. He no longer outright rejected Jasmine's proposal but engaged in a strategic dance of evasion with her, employing ambiguous responses that neither confirmed nor denied her suggestions. This left Jasmine feeling increasingly frustrated.

The two sides negotiated from morning until evening. Jasmine adjusted the profit share for the first five years to 65% for Nippon Steel, but Hashimoto Konzen remained unmoved. Finally, Jasmine revealed her ultimate offer: "Mr. Hashimoto, it seems we're at an impasse regarding control. Therefore, I propose a 50/50 shareholding. This guarantees each party 50% of the voting rights. All cooperative decisions will be made jointly. Should our partnership fail, all remaining assets will be divided equally."

Hashimoto sighed, "Miss Moore, a 50/50 split means neither side holds the initiative. How will we resolve future disagreements? Without a clear decision-making process, we risk a stalemate."

Jasmine responded gravely, "Mr. Hashimoto, if we're truly committed to this collaboration, we can resolve differences calmly and rationally. If we can't even agree on this premise, then cooperation will be impossible." She continued, "A 50/50 shareholding is acceptable if you're genuinely committed. Otherwise, even controlling shares won't guarantee a successful partnership."

Hashimoto replied awkwardly, "Miss Moore, in your country, there's a saying about considering worst-case scenarios first. Isn't that prudent in a business partnership?"

Jasmine stated, "Mr. Hashimoto, the equity is 50/50, with a 5% revenue advantage for you—our final offer. If you believe we can cooperate, let's continue. Otherwise, we must part ways. The decision rests with you."

Hashimoto didn't immediately respond but checked the time. With a wry smile, he said, "Miss Moore, it's getting late. I'll discuss your proposal with our chairman and provide a definitive answer by tomorrow at the latest."

Jasmine hesitated before replying, "Very well, Mr. Hashimoto. I await your response." She stood, extended her hand, and said politely, "Mr. Hashimoto, we'll return to the hotel. Please contact me immediately if there's any progress."

Hashimoto nodded, smiling, "Certainly, Miss Moore. Please await my news."

Jasmine and her assistants left the Nippon Steel office building. She felt a complex mix of emotions. She had played her last card; without Nippon Steel's agreement, her trip would be a failure.

Upstairs at Nippon Steel, Hashimoto Konzen watched Jasmine's vehicle depart. A cruel smile touched his lips as he made a phone call.

"Lord Moore," he said, "Your sister is driving me mad. Tonight seems the perfect time. After tonight, your sister will vanish from this world."

Honor Moore's voice responded, "Haha, Mr. Hashimoto, then it's all up to you!"
